This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles that have a whine type bearing noise coming from the front transmission area. Technician will need to inspect the grommet pass through at the transmission tunnel with a borescope to make sure it is properly seated. Also inspect the clutch release line?s may not be installed properly.
