Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about when the heated ventilated seat, rear defogger, heated steering wheel and Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning operation will occur during remote vehicle start event. During a Remote Vehicle Start event, the heated seats will turn to the high setting when the ambient temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius). During a remote start event, the ventilated seats will turn to the high setting when the ambient temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius). During a remote start event, the rear window defogger will turn on if the outside temperature is 44 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) or below. The heated steering wheel does not turn on during a remote start event. During a remote start event, the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning system will operate using the settings they were last set at when the car was shut off prior to the remote vehicle start event.
