Weather seals appear to erode prematurely, which may allow moisture to enter the headlight casing and cause the bulb to flicker, dim or burn out entirely. The replacement headlights also use the same design which results in out of pocket expense even for faulty replacement lights.

For the past few years my wife's Cadillac Srx headlights have been getting worse and worse. We have had all bulbs replaced by bill cramer Chevrolet in panama city Florida. The new bulbs were better for a little while but now when using the dim headlights, you cannot even tell they are on. The bright headlights have to be used at all times while driving at night, or you cannot see anything at all. This is a lawsuit and accident waiting to happen. I can definitely see moisture getting into the light housing and I think it is causing all the problems.

My headlight has constant condensation causing the bulb to burn out. Such poor visibility I was forced to lower headlights and drive with brights on just to see the lines on the road. I do everything I can to avoid driving at night. My son will visit me every other week and put a hair dryer on it to remove the moisture.

I just bought this 2013 Cadillac Srx luxury used from a car lot in madison wi. On our way home to baraboo wi the headlights turned on cause it was getting dark. I couldn't tell if the lights were on or not. To test to see if the headlights worked properly I waited until it was dark and I drove a half mile. As all the other owners of this model the low beams are not bright enough for night driving. I could not see what seems to be a few feet in front of me. I could not see the sides of the road at all. This is a major safety issue. I had to purchase a car because a deer ran in front of my old one. The insurance company totaled my car. I could not imagine trying to drive the same dark highway on my way home from work with these low beams. There are deer everywhere in wi. There is a class action lawsuit against GM in regards to this problem. I would like to see a recall or a fix to be available that would correct this dangerous issue.

The headlights on the vehicle are defective and do not work! this is a huge issue and there are recalls in some states but not wa state. Driving at night is dangerous and I am really scared as I have almost gotten in multiple accidents! I have had the headlights replaced at the dealership last year for over $300 and it did nothing. They actually seem dimmer. There is a verified moisture issue and you can see condensation in the headlight. I have kept my vehicle on the factory recommended service schedule in the 4 years I have owned it and it is so dangerous to drive at night. Replacing the bulbs to newer better ones did nothing and the dealership says there is nothing they can do. Based on the number of complaints and letters some owners are getting they are aware of the problem. Am I supposed to sue GM when I get in an accident or worse due to faulty equipment that they are aware of" why is nothing being done to help" this is so dangerous.

Low beam headlights continue to get dimmer with time rendering the vehicle not driveable in the dark. Problem started a couple of years ago and when I investigated the issue, it appears that over 300,000 vehicles are affected. GM has ackowledged the problem and settled with owners in California and Florida but refuse to repair any other vehicle outside those states. The headlight selas are defective allowing moisture to enter the headlight assembly corrding contacts affecting the bulbs. Estimated cost to repair ranges between $1600 and $3000, replacing the headlight assemblies with the very same design. GM will not cover the cost. My wife will no longer drive the vehicle in the dark as she doesn't feel safe any longer because of the difficulty seeing the road.

This car has lighting that is completely faulty.if the car is driven when the headlights are producing low light or no light, they can create a safety hazard and pose a danger to the driver, other drivers, and pedestrians.to hopefully remedy the issue, in Feb,2019 we purchased sealight H11/H9 low beam 9005/HB3 high beam led headlight bulbs at the recommendation of the morries Cadillac servc tm.they were aware of this issue and said the new lights would correct the problem.after purchasing them we brought them to have them installed.they worked for a couple of months and once again are not working.this did not correct the issue.upon further investigation, we discovered that there is a Cadillac Srx headlight class action lawsuit alleging the lights have seals that allow moisture to ruin the headlights, causing them to become dim and finally fail.according to the plaintiff, 2010-2015 Srx SUVS have the headlight problems that are caused not only by the seals but by air vents that interfere with the proper flow of air.customers complain about headlights that suffer from condensation problems from the allegedly defective seals that create moisture that leaves drivers blind at night. General Motors allegedly knows about the Srx headlight problems that can cause electrical short circuits.according to the class action lawsuit, GM has sent technical service bulletins to Cadillac dealers informing technicians what to do if customers complained about the headlights.the automaker also created a customer service program for Srx drivers, but the plaintiff claims repairs by dealers are useless because defective parts are replaced by the same defective parts.this is a problem that is extremely unsafe and is costing consumers money to try to remedy, to no avail. Does somebody have to die for this problem to be addressed for all Srx owners!! GM should be held responsible for all owners!

During the holidays I started noticing that my head lights were really dim. They are so dim there's actually no light shining directly on the road in front of the vehicle. Most SC roads do not have street lights so I've had to use my bright lights and I actually received a verbal warning from highway patrol for having my brights on. So I took my vehicle to jones Chevrolet/Cadillac before new years expecting the problem to be a simple bulb change. Mr. John jones told me that he's been seeing more and more of the same vehicle/same problem and that it's the entire assembly that needs to be replaced. He said something about a malfunction with the low beam shutters? he was expecting to find it on recall and said that perhaps GM hasn't gotten to my VIN yet and to keep checking or that I could pay the $1500 to repair and get reimbursed once it is recalled. I'm hoping this matter will be investigated as it is a safety issue. I can't drive safely at night and it's my only transportation.
