Low beam headlights very dim and have been since the vehicle was new in January of 2015. Contacted dealer and was informed this was a common problem with the Srx for which there was no fix. On my third set of aftermarket halogen bulbs with only marginal improvement. Consider it somewhat dangerous to drive this vehicle during night time hours. This issue happens with headlight switch in automatic or when selecting the "headlight on" position. Headlights also appear to be aimed too low but dealership chose not to verify and there dopes not appear to be an adjustment screw; the manual states that the dealer's body shop should aim the lights.

Headlights are dim. It's hard to drive and see while driving at night. I've almost got into some really bad car accidents because cars have pulled out right in front of me because my headlights are so dim. I should not have to use my brights all the time at night. On coming traffic flash me because they are on.

I purchased the vehicle in July of 2018 and noticed the headlights seemed dim. Thought maybe I was just still adjusting to new car. Went on highway early in the morning one day before sunup and really could not see.. thought the headlights were off. Pulled over and checked. They were on but just very dim. Dealer said it would cost around $1800. After I sent them copies of articles I had read about these lawsuits by other people, they agreed to replace headlights for free. My concern is it will not work or it will just happen again in time... as some others have indicated. They should fix the problem.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac Srx. While driving after dusk, the headlamps failed to adequately illuminate the roadway. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with an auto dimming feature. The vehicle was taken to boyd Chevrolet Cadillac Buick (located at 1875 spartanburg hwy, hendersonville, nc 28792, (828) 693-3461) and the contact was advised to adjust the headlamps upwards to remedy the failure. The contact stated that the adjustment failed to remedy the failure and potentially made it worse. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

The headlights on my Srx became very dim very quickly. After doing some research of my own, it appears this is a manufacturers defect. I took it to my local Cadillac dealership on 10/1. they stated they didn't know exactly what the problem was, but somehow the lens was bad. Was going to cost $1600+ to repair. I had to wait to do that, but in the meantime, started doing my own research. I found a few class action lawsuits have been filed for this very problem. I have contacted my dealership again. My warranty for that ran out at 50,275 miles. The problem was there prior to that mileage. I honestly thought my eyes were starting to go bad at night, but my family noticed it too when we were all driving together one evening, so I made an appointment to have it checked out. I am very upset that Cadillac isn't doing something about this. The car is unsafe to drive at night. At this point, if I get it fixed, they will replace it with the same headlights, as they haven't made any changes to the design of the piece from what I can tell. So, the problem will occur again. This is a major safety issue. Cadillac/GM really needs to step up and take care of this.the car can not be driven at night under these conditions.

Front headlights are so dim they appear to be turned off. The car is not drivable at night. The car is in covered parking with 43,000 miles. This was discovered while night driving and the only way to see was to use bright beams. Independent mechanic says this is defect. GM not acknowledging via recall but see all on internet across country with same problem on this car years 2010-2015. This should be recalled before someone is killed.

Headlights are extremely dim, it is impossible to drive when it is dark. I attempted to this morning as I needed to come in to work early and nearly wrecked. I had to pull over off the freeway and wait for daylight. I knew they were dim and because of that try to never drive at night but it is ridiculous that I own a vehicle I am unable to drive at dark.

I have noticed for the past 3 months of the 3 years I have owned the 2015 Cadillac Srx that the low beam head lamps are to dim to drive at night. This is a serve safety issue. The headlamps throw now recognizable light on the road. The lights are on and have no directional issues. Calls to multiple GM dealerships and the GM customer service were met with the response of no knowledge of any issues or like complaints. My vehicle showed now evidence of plastic lens degradation, nor yellowing, nor condensation. Multiple forums report the problem with no solution.

Low beam lights are not functioning at appropriate levels to see safely. Took the car to scranton GMC/Chevy in vernon, ct and service department had it for a day, and returned it saying they found nothing wrong with the headlights but had no paperwork for me to sign or have. They also told me that they had called GM in regards to this. Knowing there are already class action suits out there and them not even writing this up leads me to believe they are attempting to suppress the reporting of this issue. I have trouble seeing with my low beams, and it is definitely not safe.

My headlights are very dim, so dim I thought the left one was out completely. My headlights are discolored with condensation. I was unable to drive my vehicle at night coming home from work at night without using my high beam lights. I took my car to plaza Cadillac in leesburg, fl. They replaced both headlights with new ones. I am pleased that they acknowledged the headlight defect and failure but am reporting it because it needs to be a recall. I have read of others that are being given the run around and being charged for a flaw that is dangerous and GM should own up to and replace faulty headlights. I am the original owner of my Cadillac, purchased new from dealership.

Headlights are very dim and you can hardly see using the dim lights. Upon looking on line there are many lawsuits for this problem. GM wants over $1,500 to fix this issue with the lights going very dim when not on bright. It appears the light assembly lets moisture accumulate because of poor seals that burns the led bulb out.

Please help me! I can't see to drive my 2015 Cadillac Srx at night due to the dangerously dim headlights. I nearly got killed on July 14. I was on the highway after dark, I literally could not see anything, it was like driving with the headlights off. So, I slowed the car to 35mph just so I could see to find my exit off the highway. I used my bright lights as much as I could, but I was blinding the drivers coming towards me. After purchasing this 2015 Cadillac Srx in December 2017, I noticed the dim headlights. After returning from vacation in March 2018, I took the car to my local dealer for service. I was told they installed a different headlight assembly but saw no improvement, so they put the old headlights back in. However, they thought they were brighter just from being cleaned. In June, the headlights were getting worse, so I returned to the dealership. I was told a GM representative was there that day, they would speak with him about the problem, then call me back to schedule another appointment. Today, July 16 I had not received a call, so I called them. I have another appointment scheduled for Monday, July 23. I was told this is their last ditch effort in trying to fix the headlights. I cannot drive the car after dark period. I don't know what to do, please help!

On or about September 11, 2017, I encountered a life threatening situation due to the defective headlamps on my 2015 Cadillac Srx. I had to evacuate to Virginia from Florida due to hurricane irma. As I was driving up a steep mountainside at night to get to my destination, I noticed I could barely see the road in front of me. I was put in a very dangerous situation, as I could not use my bright lights because that would "blind" the cars coming down the mountain in the opposite direction. This was a life threatening situation as one wrong maneuver could send you off the side of the mountain or head-on into another vehicle or pedestian. Upon my return to Florida, I immediately took my car into the dealership and they acknowledged the problem as fog and haze covering the lens due to "weather" and replaced both headlamps. On May 13, 2018, I noticed the same head lamp dimness while driving at night making it difficult to see the road or pedestrians or anything. I returned to the dealership and they said the same thing happened again to the driver's side headlamp and replaced it. This has been less than a year since the initial replacement. Clearly there is a defect with the design and/or integrity of these headlamps and a newer version must be manufactured. I live in Florida and if moisture is causing this, this will be an ongoing problem. This is very costly to fix, not to mention, life threatening as you are unable to see the road or pedestrians or anything else while driving at night with barely any light illuminating the path in front of your vehicle.

The dim lights do not give off enough light at night I have had to pull over several times thinking I was going off the road. I avoid driving at night and avoid having my grandbaby in the car at night for fear of a deadly crash. When I have to drive at night I have to use brights. This is going to get me a ticket someday unless someone gets mad enough they shoot me on the highway. Something needs to be done please.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac Srx. While driving various speeds, both low beam headlights failed to work without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (crosby Cadillac, GMC, Nissan, Inc, 2715 memorial dr, waycross, ga 31503) where it was diagnosed that both low beam lights needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

Exterior front lights are dangerously dim when driving after dusk and into the night time. It is very hard to see while driving. While stopped I checked the lights to see if they were on and they were but while driving I have to ride with my bright lights on to see. I took it to the dealership and they said that nothing like this has ever been reported but it is not true. They adjusted my front lights thinking it was the beam but it did not help this should be a recall since this is very dangerous and someone is going to get killed.
