My experience with our 2009 Chevrolet Aveo. My wife has had multiple problems with our 2009 Chevrolet Aveo; which she has described to me but I could not make happen or duplicate when I would test drive it when she would get home, until today 10/17/2010. Here is what I experienced. My first 10 -15 miles of driving with one 30 min. Stop at store, no problems. Made 2 mile trip to another store for about 10 min. Then on my way down the road just before a major intersection light; had to stop in long line of traffic. The first thing that happened was when I slightly let off the brake to move forward, the car lunged. I hit the brake and the RPM started dropping and the car started sputtering; so I let off the brake and it lunged again. When the light turned green, I pushed on the accelerator and it was if the engine was not getting gas. I pushed the peddle to the floor and it started going normal again. Pulled into a grocery store parking lot; and it was very shaky or sputtering.; I pushed on the accelerator and it was if the engine was not getting gas again. Pulled into parking spot and once again the RPM started dropping and the car shut off on its own. Went into 1 store for 10 min. Got in the car and it showed no symptoms on the rest of the way home; which is 2 miles from the store. So now I know there is something wrong here.

I purchased a 2009 Chevy Aveo on August 3, 2010. Since August 3, 2010, I have experienced 3 incidences of the car stalling without warning while traveling uphill. The most recent incident occurred on September 3, 2010. The check engine and tire pressure lights came on. The car stalled on a hill and started rolling backwards in high traffic. Initially, I was told the car's problem involved a bulletin 4955. Now, I am being told the car requires a computer part to stop the problem. The part is trying to clear customs from Canada. In the meantime, I have been in rental car since September 3, 2010. One month after the date of purchase. I do not feel safe in this car.
