The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. While the vehicle was engaged in park, the key could not be removed from the ignition. The contact mentioned that the key had to be turned to the start position and back to the off position before it eventually came out. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

When accelerating the vehicle shut off 3 times in the same day when switching from 1st to 2nd gear. I was forced to cycle the ignition, put the car in park, and res-start the car in the middle of the highway. I was scared out of my mind because I though the keyfob recall was to prevent this from happening. This wasnt the case and my 2014 Chevrolet Camaro automatic 6cy shut off 3 different times in the same day when accelerating.

I complained it to dealership and they said they didnt find anything, I made a video just for record too. Also it makes tick tick sound specially in morning when you press brakes.

When I shift from drive or any other position at least 50% of the time when I shift to park I am not able to remove the key from the stearing wheel column lock. Most of the time if I turn the key to on take the shiffer out of park an put it back in park it may allow me to remove the key. There have not been able to get the key out. So far when I have not been able to get the key out it has been at home. My big concern is that I may not be able to get the key out when I am away from the house. Very easy to steal a car with a key in the lock. The car is stationary when this happens.

While operating the stereo it makes a popping sound and turns off and back on. When it comes back on there is no sound coming through the speakers but the head unit is still on. Turning the car off and on restores the sound but it just goes back out. I see this is a very common problem and all the dealerships say if to replace the entire head unit.

At times A/C won't turn on which has been an issue for about 2 years, and now radio malfunctions not allowing for A/C or radio functions. Signal lights makes strange sound when in use. Power goes out in that entire system making the entire system reset itself to manufacturer settings. This happens whether the auto is parked or while driving.

Key recall- since the key recall has been done about 3 weeks ago the last week we have been having issues with the car just dying in the middle of the road. It loses all power and shuts itself off. I have contacted onstar and had them do a diagnosis and they couldn't find anything. This is a huge safety issue. It almost completely died in rush hour traffic on the freeway. Thank goodness that I was not on a busy street when it did die completely. I lost all power steering, and all it would do is coast. I did have the key recall done on my car and apparently it is more than just the key that is the issue. This makes me scared to drive my vehicle on a freeway. I don't know when it will die and hopefully not cause a huge accident.

Takata recall- several issues cant get key out of ignition when put in park, radio screen locks up and goes blank while driving or stationary, heater got extremely hot and froze so it could not be turned off while traveling on hi way with no where to pull off. Took to dealership several times but always seemed to work for them. Asked for them to document since I was getting close to warranty expiring. Also hear a clunk each time I use brake. Backfired and loss power when trying to pass a car on freeway. Passenger seat two way motor had short or defect would cause seat to get stuck in high position at various times and has completely stopped working with seat touching roof, not sure if smaller person would be safe if airbags go off in this position. Also key came out while someone else was using car.since all these things happen fairly soon after purchase I thought maybe I didn't know how to properly use the cars options or controls. When taking to dealership it would be fine and they always said it has to do it for us to or they cant fix it. That's why I asked for them to document. My car is now at 36,600 and doing some of the things again.when calling dealer they only had some of my complaints documented.

My car was part of the ignition switch recall in 2014. For the past week, whenever I park the car I can not get the key out of the ignition. The dealership explained that the problem is being caused by the shifter not communicating to the car that it's in "park" so it won't release the key. They also told me that since my car has 55,000 miles, the repair will not be covered under warranty because it's electrical and considered part of the "trim". they informed me that the repair would be in excess of $600. I am extremely unhappy because I can't afford this repair and this is my only mode of transportation. The car is pretty much un-drivable at this point unless I want to get stuck somewhere.

Car ignition keeps hanging up and will not release key upon shut off. Traveling between states, a burning smell began to come through the vents, the car shut off without warning traveling 70 mph on the highway, remaining lit and appearing fully functioning. It struck me as very familiar to the ignition issue I have had for the way the car shut off and began to act. Upon stop and actually switching off, car would try to crank, but did not catch. After towing to dealership, car cranked and drove as usual. Check engine light indicated low fuel pressure, after diagnostics for the third time the dealership is still insisting nothing is wrong with this car. Key ring has a total of 3 keys and lightweight, definitely not weighing down the ignition. This is definitely computer related, electrical and affecting the mechanical ability of the car as well as the safety of the driver. I see numerous complaints about this issue online, no recalls have been found and Chevrolet is not correcting this despite numerous car fires reported and accidents probably caused.

1st problem, the left speaker started a loud screeching noise while the radio was still playing. I had to stop the car and turn off the engine to stop the noise. 2nd problem, when I hit a bump in the road, the radio shuts off. I can't get local stations. Only sirrus station. Now when I turn the steering wheel too hard the radio shuts off then comes back on. Now while driving on the high ways, the dash board lightsturns off by them selves momentarily then turns back on. Also because of these problems, I turn the radio off... and while driving the radio turns on by itself. Driver-side back -up light was replaced visibility /wiper needs replacing wiper fluid squirt dosen't work effectively.. maybe nozzle is clogged D

My Chevy Camaro has a safety recall on the key fob ignition system. The key was found faulty and would turn off while driving. Chevy's solution was to remove the switchblade key fob and give me an ordinary key. The problem is that the paddle shifter on the steering wheel still comes in contact with the key while turning, therefore turning off the ignition. While turning off the key, it also breaks the key in half. This has happened to be 3 times now while driving. 2 of the times almost resulting in collision. I am honestly scared to drive my car.
