This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that had the Customer Satisfaction Program 15169A and now there is a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Codes set in the Engine Control Module P0011, P0075, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 and / or P0304. Technician will verify correct wires were spliced together during the repair by reviewing step #8 of Customer Satisfaction Program 15169A. Technician should insure the largest gauge red and largest gauge purple wires are utilized for this repair. If the incorrect wires were spliced return wires to original routing and re-perform the splice repair utilizing the correct wiring, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes, and re-evaluate. If the correct wires were spliced evaluate the crimp utilized at the splice for a poor connection, repair the crimps as needed.
