I purchased a brand new 2016 Chevrolet Colorado duromax diesel in September of 2016. At 9,638 miles the check engine light came on for the nox sensor. The dealership replaced them but it did not fix anything. As it turns out the issue was a recall which reprogrammed the ECU. They decided to make the tolerances looser on the sensors. At 10,647 miles there was a loud wining coming from the rear of the vehicle. The race to the pinion bearing in the rear differential was pitted and causing the bearing to fail. The rear differential needed to be rebuilt. At 22715 miles the truck would go into reduced power mode which is 25 miles per hour in the middle of the freeway causing other motorists to swerve to avoid a collision. When the truck was turned off and turned back on the error would clear and the vehicle was drivable again. The dealership could not replicate the issue so it took many visits before they replaced the accelerator pedal position sensor. After this did not fix the issue and almost caused another accident the vehicle was taken in and the complete wiring harness was replace. The technician stated that the connectors were improperly crimped at the factory. The truck is now at the dealership again at 26,000 miles to replace the diesel exhaust fluid pump. This fault also causes the vehicle to go into reduced power mode which almost caused an accident again. This vehicle is not reliable, dangerous, and I do not feel safe driving it, especially when my family is with me. I contacted Chevrolet customer assistance team concentrix on behalf of Chevrolet to seek a solution on a brand new vehicle that had major problems. The representative did not care and told me to pursue a resolution on my own.

Dashboard settings/radio/backup camera display unit goes blank and resets resulting in loss of backup camera availability. Usually, on start up but continuing for up to 15 minutes during which settings and backup camera are unavailable. Usually when stationary but has also happens while backing up. Dealers have been unable to find a fix under warrantee. Has happened occasionally but repeatedly since I purchased the vehicle new in March of 2017.

On February 21, 2017 while making a right turn, my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado 4WD crew cab turned itself off. On February 22, 2017 richard lucas Chevrolet looked at the vehicle for 5 hours an drove the vehicle around several times and were "unable to duplicate concern." I was told to call back if the issue ever popped up again, but it was believed to be unlikely. March 28, 2017 while driving home from work, my Colorado ignition made a click noise, and the ignition key turned itself off yet again. This time around was much different than the first occurrence as I had no brakes to stop the vehicle. To stop the vehicle I had to shift into park which I was able to do. Vehicle will be returning to the richard lucas auto center to be reevaluated. On the first occurrence the vehicle was in motion on a county road while completing a turn and the second time it happened while going straight on a residential street.

I started my Colorado to head home, the weather was clear and cool. The "driver information center" in the instrument cluster flashed that the airbag, anti-theft system, and the traction control system (tcs)/stabilitrak were inoperable. The airbag, tcs, and one other lights were illuminated. I turned the vehicle off. Waited a few seconds and turned it back on. The same thing happened again. I cleared the warning messages and started to drive to take it in and get it looked at by a certified Chevrolet mechanic. I left the parking lot and after entering the nearby street I noticed that the driver information center was not displaying any vehicle information (showing zeros or blanks for all diagnostic information including mileage, fuel, oil pressure, speed etc). Also, the needles for the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and engine coolant temperature gauge were lifeless and reading zeros. Only the odometer and "infotainment" system were working correctly. I estimated my speed to be above 30 mph at this point. I immediately pulled off the road, put the vehicle in park and turned it off. I waited a few minutes and scanned the wiring under the hood and steering wheel but could not identify any issues. When I started the vehicle again, all the issues were gone as if nothing happened. Seemed kinda like restarting a computer to clear software issues. Not sure what could've caused it. My vehicle is a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 with 27,000 miles on it. It was purchased October 2015. Engine revs high coming to a stop. Required both feet pressed hard on the bakes to emergency stop. Speed control quits working then service-stability control comes on, car starts to handle ackwardly, pulls to left then. Cut engine off and it resets, but the cruise control stops working and then that service stability control comes back on.if I don't put on the cruise control, I don't get that stability control message so far. Braking problem happens when comes to a stop. Cruise control happens at highway speeds but sometimes going 45 mph.

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but was unable to be diagnosed or repaired.
