Was driving on the freeway exiting the offramp that curves to the right. When I turned the steering wheel it locked up and the stereo turned off. I had no control over the direction my vehicle was traveling. I applied my brake, to keep from hitting another vehicle. When I pressed my brake the steering wheel unlocked briefly then locked again. Then a yellow ⚠️ warning light illuminated and my car began to pull to the right. The stereo powered on and the steering wheel returned to normal. The yellow warning ⚠️ light turned off. I continued to travel another 1.5-2 miles more to my home and it happened again. This time a green dash light illuminated and said service power steering. I parked my car at that point. I am contacting the dealership to make arrangements for repair. The reason why I am filing a complaint is because of the danger associated with this type of malfunction. It put my life and other drivers life is at stake. This is not an acceptable way for a vehicle to function. This is not the only time I've had an electrical issue with my vehicle. In October 2018 after driving to mammoth California my vehicle completely turned off while I was on the highway. Something similar to a stall out.

When the car is in the park position and the key is in the ignition switch in the off position, the engine will randomly begin to start. Sometimes, if the key is not in the ignition switch and touches the opening of the ignition switch the car engine will begin to start. I think it's a faulty ignition switch.

I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze (1.4L turbo). I turn my car off and it doesnt matter if I remove the key or not my car will try to start itself. When this started my car started running really bad. It idles irregular and check engine light has came on giving me codes for things like fuel injectors and 02 censored and map censors also the mass airflow sensor. I have replaced all of these along with a clean air filter and the idle tension pulley it started squeaking. This fixed none of the issues. Codes are still coming up for parts that's replaced. I'm paying on a vehicle that's not safe to drive.

For a few weeks now, I have noticed that the radio and dash lights will suddenly cut off, and then come back on. I have had the vehicle inspected but no issue was found. I have not been able to narrow down what triggers the issue to occur, it will happen at random times. There is no way to replicate the event without just being in the car when it happens. Just in the last 30 minutes it occurred: 1. while accelerating to 40 mph; 2. while breaking to come to a stop sign; 3. maintaining continuous speed at 30 mph; 4. while stationary, rolling up my power window; 5. and, while stationary, foot on break placing the vehicle in park. The randomness of these occurrences and the fact that there are no senor warnings/codes to notify the dealership concerns me. Depending on the type of commute, a potentially dangerous situation could occur without warning to the vehicle operator.

My Chevy Cruze is very unsafe. While driving, the stereo begins to shut on and off and the display starts displaying various warnings such as "service stabilitrack". over 5 times now, when I begin a turn from being idle, the same occurs but with the added problem of the wheel locking up and not letting me turn it. I have had to stop almost completely while turning to avoid hitting something head on when the steering wheel gets locked. Please please look into this problem.

All the sub-systems on the 2014 Chevy Cruze are controlled through the radio system. When backing up, the backup camera, which is displayed through the radio entertainment screen, does not engage. Several of the other sub-systems, including the ac, the radio itself, and other systems are also intermittent while driving the car. In order to reset the system the car has had to be pulled over to the side of the road and turned off completely, let sit for several minutes, and the restarted. After doing so the system has reset, but has done the same thing days or weeks later. After bringing the car in to the dealer over four time the problems have yet to be resolved.

Sometimes while driving, if you hit the brake or hit the window switch, the power to the radio panel and drivers display will cut off, sometimes the "service stabilitrac" signal will come up and the power will come back on after a few seconds, when this happens it will also cut power to the power steering, if you are not prepared for it or your not aware of the situation it can surprise you, it can be especially startling while turning and all of a sudden power cuts out and you have trouble steering, the car will stay running and the power will cut for a few seconds, and then everything will go back to normal. Looking online this seems to be a common issue with the earlier Chevy cruz. I am just not sure of the full extent of the issue.

I've had my 2014 Chevy Cruze for about 2 years now. Back in December 2018 it started having a lot of issues. Antifreeze was pouring out, it was spitting and sputtering, rough idle, and overheating, made an appointment with Chevy dealership. They had my car about a week. The said water pump was failing, thermostat was out, cooler outlet hoses needed to be replaced. Not even 12 hours later I was taking it back in for the same problems. Engine lights were still coming on. This time they fixed the oil cooler line, and crankshaft. A few days passed and again I was still having the same issues. Took it back, and they fixed the crankcase ventalation, camshaft cover, intake manifoldintake air pressure sensor. Maybe 2 weeks passed and I finally got upset and took it 45 mins to another shop, within a few hours I got a call that my head gasket was blown. I was still having all the same issues as I did when it first messed up. I ended up having to take it back to the other dealership who had been working on it. They kept me car for 29 days while fixing my blown head gasket. They resurfaced it and fixed clamps. Well, Thursday July 11 I was at my bosses house trying to back up under a shade tree. When I started the car, it sounded horrible. It was just spitting and sputtering. I out it in reverse and hit the gas. My car started rolling toward! it would not back it. I went to hit the brake and it did nothing. I had to pull my emergancy break before I ran into her fense.I immediately got on the phone with the dealership 45 mins away. Set my appointment up. Later that night on the way to take my kids to vbs, we were stopped at a red light. While trying to cross over a main highway the car just started spitting and sputtering. It was barely moving even though I had the gas pedal to the floor. Got it to dealership 45 mins away Friday 12th. Anothe blown head gasket. That car is not safe

Had started noticing that when I would start my car my radio would sometimes take a long time to come on. Eventually woke up one day to start my car and it would not start. This should not be happening because the battery is not even a year old. Used my portable jumper to charger and took it to get read and it was not the battery. I was told that there was an electrical drain that was still charging my battery even after it was turned off. The second issue is when I am driving and go to give the car gas and the car would not immediately accelerate causing to me to almost be hit twice. I had to give it gas a second time in order for it to accelerate

Driving home at 9pm on a high speed/traffic highway, we had all electricity/steering suddenly go out, then when it came back on popped up with a "service stabilitrak " message. Luckily, it came back on before a wreck but scared all of us to pieces. The car was being driven at the posted 70mph speed limit, but started to decelerate when power was lost. This happened on 07/08/19. Today, 07/11/19 we had to jump the car and the turn signals no longer do the little "click" noise, and the dash screen/backup camera won't come on, although the radio still somehow works. Also on lunch break today, car was dead, key wouldn't come out of the ignition till the car was jump started. As this seems to be a major issue with the car, why hasn't it been recalled?

There is a problem with how the car is communicating with the anti theft system, at least that's what I am suspecting. Randomly, when I try to start the car the dashboard lights come on, the radio, and everything else except the engine won't even crank. I've had the basics checked (battery, alternator, starter) and all is well. While it may not seem like a safety issue the car has left me stranded many times. This is an ongoing issue I don't know what to do about this.

*engine fire* 4/10/19... (xxxxx) was in the car and it was idling at the sandy, Utah mcdonalds parking lot when smoke and smell came from engine. She put out fire with water. I arrived 15-20 minutes later to help. I inspected engine compartment and did a visual check only to find burnt wiring. There was no other known issues and verified no fluids spilled. I called the insurance company and they had towed to riverton Chevrolet to work with Chevrolet and have known engine fire risks. 2014 Chevrolet cruise case# 95243938936 (GM) VIN: (xxxxxx) 4/11/19 insurance company towed to riverton motors. Riverton motors invoice# 6209533 / 6206861/1 4/11/19 the day after the engine fire, I received a call from fred uribe (service rep.) from the riverton motors service center. He stated that there was oil all over and it needed repair. I told him that the car was in for an engine fire and I never had an oil or any car leaks. He told me it would be ~$600 to repair the oil cooler leak and it needed to be repaired before the engine fire issue. A few days later fred called and said it was actually a transmission fluid leak. They diagnosed the fire as being started from the transmission fluid leak? the invoice wrongly stated that I reported a leak needing repair and not the fire I reported!!! I informed riverton motors that there was an engine fire and not any leaks. Invoice incorrectly stated: Customer stated vehicle has a coolant leak, later stated the customer stated vehicle has an oil leak. And then vehicle found the radiator leaking. The invoice did not state the actual reason for the service was an engine fire!!!! state farm insurance claim: 44-8388-Q93 amount:  $148.78 comprehensive - fire 5/20/19 reported to GM/machella engine fire 2014 Chevrolet cruise case# 95243938936 6/10/19 reported to NHTSA parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
