I own a 2010 Equinox and when driving in a straight path for a period of time the steering wheel binds up/sticks and I have to tug on the steering wheel to free it. I am taking it into the dealer next week for further evaluation but it appears other people have had this problem based on internet info and a couple have filed complaints with your Agency.

While driving my 2010 Chevy Equinox in a straight line for a period of time the steering wheel binds up and you have to give a tug to get it freed up. It has been in the dealer 3 times and after the power steering pump was replaced it still does it. I opened a file with Chevy on the problem and the response I received was that is the way the new steering is designed. Nothing comes up on the scanner so they are unable to diagnose the problem, yet the service manager took the car home himself and he admitted it happened to him.

My 2010 Chevy Equinox ls steering wheel locks up while driving. The electrical also seems to have an issue where the radio will start flashing and the air bag warning keeps coming on even after they have stated all of the issues have been fixed and parts have been replaced. This car has been in the shop more than I have owned it. I am scared for my families safety.
