This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a driver's power seat is inoperative and/or the SIR light is coming on intermittently. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes B0014 and/or B0015 may be found in the Sensing and Diagnostic Module and "PWR SEAT LT" fuse may be open in the under hood fuse block. Technician will need to inspect the wire harness under the seat for contact between the seat frame and the power seat motor. If any wires are found to be damaged, repair them as necessary.
