Emission Recall - General Motors has decided to conduct a voluntary emissions recall involving certain 2018 model year Equinox vehicles that were service programmed with incorrect heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control module software. Vehicles programmed with this software may, under certain cold weather driving conditions, unnecessarily deactivate the Auto Engine Stop/Start System in order to maintain cabin temperature. Dealers are to program the HVAC control module.
