This problem includes more items than your form allows me to check. It stated out about 7 months ago when you would be driving down the road and the service stable tract and service traction control light would come on causing the engine power to be reduced which is an annoence but is also a safety issue is you are passing someone on a two lane road when it happens and you can not complete the pass due to reduced power. If you pulled off to the side of the road and shut the car off the service lights would go away and may not come on again for weeks. This problem went away after a couple of months and then the car started a new one with a no crank, no start problem which when this would happen you would get up to three warning lights, (service table trac, service traction control, and service air bags) with time the no crank, no start problem kept coming and going and the only light that came on when it wouldn't crank or start was the service air bag light. If you kept trying to start it after 3 to 30 times it would start and run fine and may not act up again for 1 day or even up to a week. A couple of weeks ago I had my wife switch cars with me as this was the car she drove to work daily and I didn't want her to get stranded. I am so glad I did that as the very first day I drove it to work on my way home while driving down the highway the car shut off for no reason and the service air bag light came on, I lost my power steering and power brakes and again I could have been in very big trouble if this would have happened when I was trying to pass another car and I don't think the air bags will deploy with the service air bag light on. I reported the to Chevrolet and they told me trying to fix it would be at my cost since it is out of warranty. The local dealer and found that they have been trying for 3 days to find a no crank, no start on a corvet with no luck.

My car went into the shop on 9/20/2016 for the airbag recall. A little over a week later and the "service airbag" light is still coming on and off. The recall did nothing to fix the problem. Reading up I am not the only one who is still having issue. Please issue a recall that will fully solve this problem instead of just a week long bandaid

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the service air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact later received notification of an unknown manufacturer recall for the air bags. The dealer repaired the vehicle; however, days later, the air bag warning indicator illuminated again. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer twice, but they could not replicate the failure. The vehicle was taken back again with the service air bag warning indicator still lit. The dealer indicated that the wire harness was faulty and needed to be replaced under the front passenger side seat. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was not available.

We brought vehicle in for recall for wiring harness repair back in August because airbag light was on. Dealership wrapped the wires. 3 weeks later airbag light was on again. Brought back to dealership and they told us wires were damaged and wiring connector need to be replaced which was not part of recall. Paid $329. When I read recall online, it clearly states the wires should be inspected before applying the tape and if not wiring should be replaced for no charge. I filed complaint with GM and they contacted dealership who still says wires are not part of recall. Advised word for word of recall and no have to go to dealership with paperwork. My child is driving this car and was told by the dealership this is not a safety issue and we could have left it as is. Really?

A fix airbag warning comes up on the dashboard display. It is inconsistent- as it will come on when starting the car, but most often while driving. It will stay on for 1 minute to maybe 5 minutes, then goes off. It started about 2 weeks ago and has come on approx 5 times in about 30 different uses of the car.

About a week ago, my :service air bag" light came on while I was driving on a highway. I got home and looked at the latest recall notice sent via mail to us and saw the ignition recall could cause a problem with the airbags if not repaired so I made an appointment with a local dealer. Once there I was told that there was another recall and they would fix both. I asked about the light but was blown off. The car was repaired and I left with the light off. The next day the light came on but when I shut off the car it would go away. This has kept happening but since yesterday it is constant. I called the dealer and GM and both say they issues are not related. But there are a lot of people on line with the same issue. The second recall was for a passenger seat sensor that could cause damage to the seat belt pretensions and loss of air bags! GM is very blaise about their customers safety. This is another issue in a long list of problems I have had with the Impala. Two out of four door locks do not work unless you manually open them, one of my seat warmers does not function, etc... this is a poorly made vehicle and the issues are safety in nature.

Chev recall #16V507000 reported a problem with the air bag sensor on the passenger seat side. I reported that I had the recall notice but that I also had the same problem with the air bag but on the driver side. When the air bag light came on, I could get it to turn off by moving the driver's seat back and forth and/or up and down. This seems to be the same type of problem reported in the recall for the passenger seat. At the dealership, the car computer verified the driver side air bag problem. When I took the care in for the recall, they checked the passenger seat wiring under warranty but charged me $130.12 to get the driver's seat wiring fixed. They said the recall was only for the passenger seat. Seems GM doesn't care if the driver gets killed or injured.

I took my car to auto mall in brattleboro vt for the recall 36110 passenger seat occupant sensing. They had it all day said they fixed it but the airbag light is on and it still doesn't sense anyone in the passenger side seat. They also gave me a list of 9 codes that my car now has but didn't back in June 3 of which I know about tire and dead battery in my remote and my actuator door, the rest all have to do with electric issues. I think stemming from the original recall. I wouldn't pay $90 to have it coded again so I looked up the codes myself and they are all loop open circuit and one is second row seat belt pretensioner deployment control. Seems to me that there is more than wrapping the wires is going to fix, I think it all has to do with the recall but they refuse to do anything. I don't even know what they did wrap or change the housing?? my codes are as follows B0223 B3060 B3031 B1325/3 B0074 C0755 boo1B/4 B0021/04. Help please all I want iis to be able to get my car inspected. As I said I had no codes until this started when the same dealer changed my pps module back a few months ago which was a recall too. When my ABS light came on and traction control and loss of power. After auto mall fixed that the airbag light came on. They had the nerve to ask if I had mice living in my car...
