My car basically just cuts off on me while driving all kinds of signs keep popping up on the dash then they'll go away. It has told be to service my stability track and I went to get service and the people say that's not a problem and they have but it on the machine and it says there is no problem I just don't know all I do know is when I'm driving it cuts off and then some times when I'm driving the engine power gets reduced then I can't go over like 20 it did this while I was on the highway I thank god I didn't get hit!

My 2013 Impala ltz will suddenly decelerate to around 35 mph and hesitate when you hit the gas. Three messages pop up, "traction control off", "engine power is reduced" and "service stabilitrak". this happened to me a few months ago and I brought it right in to global Chevy in North plainfield, NJ. They fixed and it seemed fine but now happening again but this time, I almost got T-boned in an intersection. I have found this has happened to many people in many different forums. Now I need to get the vehicle to the dealer again. This should be a recall!!!!!!!! I almost got smashed and I will be making sure this is documented in as many forums as possible. This is a Chevy problem. I got charged over $650 to fix this last time!!!!!!!! I am upset as hell and not really sure what to make of this. I need to drive my kids around in this time bomb now" I refuse to pay for something that is such a danger to operate. Secondary issue is that sometimes when backing out of a spot in reverse, applying drive and trying to move forward, the sounds like gears grinding that goes away if I straighten the wheel out. Wth is that?" this happened at the light on centennial avenue in piscataway NJ crossing over S Washington ave. Was stationary, then in motion. The auto deceleration happened while at speed of 35 mph and then it would not accelerate when pressing the gas. I have an invoice for the first repair. I would appreciate expedited help on the matter.

The contact owned a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. While the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle accelerated very slowly. The engine stalled in the middle of the road. The key was turned back to the on position and another vehicle crashed into the front driver side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags deployed. The contact suffered a broken left hip bone, nerve damage, and other injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 3,345.

I went to start my car the key was immediately "locked" inside the ignition..locking everything in the car up, from the brakes to the electrical. You should be able to turn it 4X (a, B, C, D(on) it would not let you go past C. the key would not come out, I had it jumped in order to get the key out. I thought for sure it had to do with the ignition switch being recalled, but no hall Chevrolet said it was just the battery. So when your battery goes bad, it is normal for the key to be locked almost "eaten" by the ignition. There was no warning it was the battery, nothing. I have only owned the car 29 days. I really thought it was the ignition switch but dealership says no battery?

Driving on interstate 95 going between 60 and 65 all of a sudden engine light came on, the engine reduction power light, the stability traction control light came on and the engine slows down from 60 to 20 miles while driving on a crowed highway during rush hour. Pull over by that time I was barely moving to the side of the rode. Took it to the dealer they looked it over and said it was a bad sensor in the accelerator. Well the light when off for about a month but it started again doing the same thing, began to do research and there are tons of complaints on youtube dealing with the same issue. This is a very dangerous issue to have to deal with.

"service traction control" and "reduced engine power" warning during normal driving on my way to work this morning. The car suddenly decelerated and started running terribly, causing a potential safety issue. I've only had the car for 2 months! apparently this has been a common problem with Impala for several years now that GM is seemingly unable to fix. Had I known about this issue I would not have purchased an Impala. GM sold me a lemon. Very disappointed.
