Was driving on a very busy highway when the electronic steering went out. There is a recall on it for over a month and there is still no parts available to have this problem fixed. The car is not drivable in this condition, it is a danger if taken on the road. This vehicle is my main form of transportation and need it to go to work everyday in a 30 mile commute. This is unacceptable how there can be such a major malfunction and a recall yet no parts or time frame on when I can expect my car to be back in driving conditions. I will never drive a GM car ever again.

I received 2 notices about 2 recalls on my car that could cause a crash without warning or control. I did experience one of the conditions were I could not put the gear in park or drive when I was trying to start the car to drive. Also once the key was stuck in he ignition fortunately these occurrences were during me trying to start the car when it had been parked. This problem was stated in the notice as a condition in which the transmission shift cable may fracture at any time.currently there are no parts available to fix these recalls. I am afraid for my safety as well as my family.

For awhile now my power steering indicator has been going off and a few months ago it had become an issue when I veered off the road on a U-turn. I brought it to my local Chevrolet dealership and they told me nothing was wrong with my car and that id be fine. Few weeks ago I had another incident to where I was backing into a spot and couldn't turn my wheel and almost hit the car behind me. The chime goes off 2-3 times a week and have trouble starting my car sometimes ad well. Being concerned I had done some research and found out that there is a recall on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. I immediately called GM and they took info from me and left message for Chevy to call me. Chevy never called me back so I called and they began to tell me the parts are not available to remedy the problem and the car is on a waiting list. I immediately began to do more research and came up empty. I don't understand how GM can leave me in this situation. I don't know if because my car is almost at the 10 year mark and than GM is not liable, or there is a loop hole in some way they can drag their feet. Is there anything I can do, or anything being done about this?!

The problem that I am having with my vehicle, is with the ignition switch. The key will not turn, I have to shake the key and push on the gas a couple of times before the key turns on the switch. I do not know if my vehicle will be covered under the recall list, but if it is and I pay to have my vehicle repaired, can I be reimburse for the repair cost?

I had sent an email regarding the recalls I had heard about. Someone from your company called and also contacted nick Chevrolet. When I was talking to the service tech ([xxx]) he made an appointment for me to drop my car off so that they could look at all of the issues I was having. When I got to the dealership on Saturday May 17th I spoke with louis and explained what was going on and what [xxx] told me to do. [xxx] then proceeded to tell me "he didn't care what I was told, he was the service manager" at that point he proceed to tell me that the only recall for my car was some wire and that they didn't have the part and didn't know when it would be in. So he didn't listen and anything I had to say about my email to you or my conversation with [xxx]. I am extremely disappointed with GM and this dealership and would not recommend either to my worst enemy, hence my last email. If anything happens to me or my vehicle because of GM and/or [xxx] from nick Chevrolet both will be held accountable! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I was driving and turning a corner when the key turned off and everything locked up. Doors locked, the steering was hard to turn I had to pull it really hard to the left to miss the cliff. Almost took me off the cliff but I was able to stop it on the side of the road. I tried to get out but the doors locked on me. When I tried to turn it back on it locked up the doors again and wouldn't turn on. But I realized that it was still in gear and I was able to start it after I put it in park. But when I drive it, it seems like its running out of gas or about to turn off while I am driving.

Started 2013, traction control remains on for a 10 mins of driving then turns off, and back on again once restart of car. When traction control light is on unable to turn off by pressing the button. Car drives like the rear breaks are engaged. This started in 2010 and still happens to the present day the car has times where it doesn't start up, it turns over but doesn't catch. I have had a fuel ejection service, and regular oil changes at a Chevrolet dealership. This started 2013, engine light is on and it won't go off. Car is at 115,000 miles. This started 2012, the changing of gears is very rough, hard changes. This started in 2010, my last change was 2012, my head light turn signal continue to blow out and burst. In 2011 my mirror visor on the driver sides has broken again after getting it replace with the recall.
