My car does not register gas properly. The gas hand is irratic and continuously fluciates from full to empty regardless of the amount of gas. Because of the unreliability of the gas hand, I ran out of gas on theinterstate! no further explanation of this very dangerous situation should be needed. At times the car fails to start and idle properly. Both issues are due to a malfunction in the fuel circuit sensor located inside the gas tank. This is a problem that has been reported numerous times with this make and model. It is an expensive fix due to location of the sensor. Please recall.

Our 2006 Chevy Malibu low coolant light came on. It was checked and coolant was put in the vehicle. It continued to come on. It was taken to our regular Chevy dealer in March 2015 who misdiagnosed the problem and replaced the coolant reservoir. The low coolant light came back on and we were loosing more engine coolant in June 2015. It was taken back to our dealer. We were told it has a cracked head gasket and the leak is internal. The Chevy dealer recommended the entire engine be replaced as a precaution because it has over 100, 000 miles. Our 2006 Chevy Malibu have been maintained well and kept up with all maintenance.. and for the gasket to be leaking is beyond us. The leak could not be seen to the visible eye. The only way we knew their was a leak was because the low coolant light came on, which was the reason why we took it to the mechanic. We are disappointed with the misdiagnose of our vehicle and with the problem. The Chevy dealer did refund us for the misdiagnose of the problem but nothing else was offered or done. Now we have to figure out what to do because we need our car.

Went to go get something to eat waiting in drive thru and all of a sudden gas gauge went from full to empty and the light came on and the display said low fuel and hte check engine light came on. Me and my husband looked at each other I told him its full. So we got our food and went next door to the gas station went to put gas in and it would take any because it was full. So then all of a sudden the gas gauge said full. It did this off and on for a while then it started not wanting to start it would take 3-5 tries to finally get it started. Then had the check engine light check it said it needed the fuel pump and relay I think that is what it said. So finally we found some one that would replace it we had to replace both the fuel pump and the relay that lets you know when the fuel is at in your gas tank.

On multiple occasions my 2006 Chevy Malibu has left me stranded. I ended up having it towed to my house where it has set for several months. I have asked different ones to look at it and try to start it. The security light comes on. I have gone to the expense of having the fuel pump replaced, ended up buying a new battery and am now told that the problem is the security system. I have seen this same problem listed on numerous sites on the internet. Why hasn't this problem been addressed? I'm still paying for a vehicle that doesn't run if it ever starts. I have 3 more recalls on this car and can't even take it in to get it taken care of.

I received this car from my dad in January of 2014. He warned me that if you fill it up all the way that the gas level will drop from full to empty. He said it happened to him and he had to turn off the vehicle and turn it back on and press enter to fix it. I never filled the car all the way up over the course of the last year until about three weeks ago (January 2015). After doing so, the tank would read full and after a few minutes would drop down to empty. My check engine light also came on. For the past few weeks, the gas level will read either full or empty, no in between, no matter how much gas I put in it. I see there are a lot of other people having this same issue, and I agree that there should be a recall on this matter. We should not to have pay for an obvious and repeated issue with this make and model of car.

I recently sent my car over to global auto mall in North plainfield, NJ. It was there for a week without anyone calling me informing me if the car was finished when they were supposed to fix the recall. I came from the car mechanic today because my car was not working properly and the same items that were supposed to be fixed were not fixed and now I have to spend more money trying to fix it.I would like to be reimbursed for the work that I have done for my car immediately. I don't have money to keep fixing this car and I am willing to go to the media and other legal options that I have. I have kids and a wife to support and this recall did not help the situation.

After finding out that there are recalls for my car per dot.gov, I scheduled an appointment for repairs with vandergriff Chevrolet in arlington for 7-21-14. I requested that they repair the parts under recall and issue a refund for the amount I paid previously for repair to power steering on my vehicle. I was told that someone would be in touch with me. When I did not get contacted, I returned to the service department to speak with a technician in regard to my service request. Once again, as previously, I was told that there are no recalls on my car. When I directed the technician to the information released by the dept. Of transportation, he stated that GM sent out additional recall letters to recall the original recall notices because they were issued in error, and that there are none in effect for my vehicle. No repairs were done.

The car stalls when I go from a complete stop into fast-moving traffic. The lug nuts on the wheel covers do not stay securely fastened. I have increasing problems with my power steering function. It would randomly fail and then correct itself initially. Sometimes it would go out when I backed up and then come back when I was in drive. Sometimes it would go out for 5-10 minutes and then come back. Sometimes it would be out for a day or two and then come back. Therefore, I brought it in to the Chevrolet dealership for repair. A few months afterwards, it began to go out again, but just for a moment at a time. This seemed to subside. However, this began happening again from time to time when I would merge onto the freeway. When I accelerate, the power steering goes out completely, the car yanks very hard to the right, and the lights and information display all blink repeatedly. This now happens each time I accelerate to either merge onto the freeway, go into passing gear to get around traffic, climb a hill, or simply quickly speed up on the road. I have brought the car back to the Chevrolet dealership citing this problem, especially since I have just had the problem fixed recently. For all of these, I was told that there is no problem and no recalls for my car make and model. I do not have the option of driving another car or affording a newer one. This is a continually dangerous situation. I am fearful that these defects will cause me and my family harm. When the power steering suddenly went out and the car yanked hard to the right just last night as I went over a raised bridge, I was afraid that I would hit the guard wall and perhaps even go over it. I have had to swerve to avoid being hit from behind because the car stalled as I got into traffic. I do not know if my wheel is loose or if the wheel cover is going to come loose while I drive.
