This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp on and/or no crank, no start. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes P058B, P058D, P118C, P118D, P26E4, P26E5, and P26E6. Technician will need to disconnect both batteries in the vehicle. Then the battery and battery tray can be removed for the inspection on the wire harness can be performed. Technician should repair any damage wires.
