Numerous accumulated problems, all have complaints already on NHTSA site here. First, Start/Stop malfunction, when it is active when stopped vehicle will stall when it tries to restart when you take your foot off brake and it-??s troublesome to restart at times, when that happens lights on dash all come on (warning lights) and radio/entertainment resets as well. Second, the traction control light on dash is on. The warning displays to have traction control system serviced, cruise control is disabled as a result, it-??s been to the dealer for both above problems the start/stop problem they say they can-??t get car to duplicate although it happens to us almost daily if not numerous times per day. This morning driving home from work the intake charge tube that attaches to intake keeps popping off and engine goes to reduced power mode on highway or wherever driving not safe at all. Saw a voluntary recall from GM going to contact dealer about tomorrow when open. Stereo resets often, completely shuts off and resets while driving at random. I also get the rushing/sloshing water noise other people have reported as complaints when coming to a stop, I read in forums that it-??s something to do with low coolant but not low enough to turn on low coolant warning light. GM really needs to address this stop/start and traction control needing service light problems as I read all over the internet of owner-??s complaints of same problems I have. Dealerships don-??t want to do anything with the cars unles the issue a recall because it comes out of their pockets. So many complaints I read owners keep reporting that dealer -??cannot reproduce identical problems-?? because they don-??t want repairs coming out of their pockets only out of GM. I-??m going to start filing formal complaints with GM until they get tired of hearing from me and fix some of this stuff or deem it a lemon and get rid of it finally.

The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. While sitting at stop lights the car has shut itself completely off and restarted itself. This has happened atleast 6 times in the past 24 hours. The first time it happened, a message was on the dash screen that said "corrupt......" with an explanation mark. I was unable to catch the full message. No message has displayed since that I believe. The vehicle shows no history/issue in the mychevy app.

While I was getting on the highway during acceleration there was a loud popping sound which was immediately followed by the check engine light turning on the airbag system warning light turning on and a reduction in engine power. I had to pull off to the side of the highway and pop my hood in which at that point I observed the air intake hose had popped off of the throttle body. I put it back on and attempted to continue to drive but it popped off again which caused me to take it very slow ride to the closest dealership. Once I arrived I had it checked out by a service technician and was advised that my throttle body needed to be replaced and so does my airbag clock spring which controls the airbag system, it's deployment, the horn and all of the steering wheel controls. Without this being operational I cannot blow my horn and the airbags may not deploy or malfunction in the event of a crash. I looked online and found out that this was an existing problem with previous models of the Chevy Malibu specifically 2016 to 2018 models.

When the vehicle is stopped at a light, then you begin to ouch on the gas as the light turns green, the car will slow accelerate when pushing on the gas. The crazy part is when I tell Chevrolet about this no one knows what I'm talking about, which is frustrating because it's happening more frequently and it's freaking me out! also no indications on the dashboard come on either

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 to 35 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle began to lose power and jerked. The contact managed to coast the vehicle to the shoulder of the road, turn the vehicle off and back on which resumed normal operation however, while the accelerator pedal was depressed going uphill, the vehicle hesitated. The vehicle was taken to hall Chevrolet chesapeake (3412 western branch blvd, chesapeake, va 23321, (877)475-0719) where it was diagnosed that all 4 cylinders had misfired and that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was diagnosed three additional times. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another dealer and test driven however, the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and deemed the contact ineligible for any repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 51,448.

I was driving home from work on the highway going 63 mph. I started to feel my car shaking as though it was going to stall out. My car has a little over 17K miles on it. On my display saying service ESC with a cresent wrench on the side, my traction control light was on (car with the swervy road) and my transmission light flashing. I started to pull over on the side of the road the the lights and display went back to normal. I called my dealership and spoke to service manager. My dealership had me bring in my car where they changed the spark plugs and relubricated the ignition coils due to misfiring. I questioned is that normal? he said no, then stated there is no recalls listed.

The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,000.

I was stationary at a red light on highway 49 with my foot on the breaks, and when the light turned green I let my foot up off the breaks and the car just shut off. I tried to turn the car back on, but still nothing. I waited a few seconds and the car started back up, so I put it in drive and started driving, but when I tried to slow down the breaks were very tight. For an hour and a half, I sat there and tried to figure out what was wrong with the car. I found nothing, so I got back into the car and cranked it and the check engine light came on. I got the car to star Chevrolet and they diagnosed the problem as the brake vacuum pump.

Took to eagleson's dealership they put on diagnostic, chief mechanic told us "I don't know what the problem could be" backed it out and sent us on our way.

Car was driven 4 times before the reduced engine power light came on again. Mileage under 8000. Diagnostic code: P0013. In both cases, the car still ran but it misses and cuts out.

With under 10K miles on this car, we drove an hour to a baseball game, then found when we started it back up, it was on reduced power. Turned out to be the throttle body that had to be replaced. Today, with under 17K miles, my wife was picking the children up from school, and it lost power and said "reduced engine power" again. If this would have happened on the highway, it could have caused an accident.

Motor accelerates RPM / works by itself. Problem is intermittent. Delay in "start / stop" causing surge. Software programming problem "
