Approx. 1 week ago while driving on a city street, stabilitrak error pops up on screen and power steering goes out while attempting to park. A few days later while driving on highway with cruise control on and engaged, stabilitrak error displays again. Initiated my turn signal to signal lane change which disengaged the cruise control. A couple of days later, while driving on the highway with cruise control on but not engaged, the cruise control engaged on it's own causing the engine to rev as an attempt was made to slow the vehicle. Dealership says it might be negative battery cable assembly and fuse block and said it would cost me $768 but there is no guarantee it will fix the problem and is likely just the starting point. Had the recall done back in August of 2018 for the loss of power steering (where they simply erased the software and loaded new software) so the dealership takes no responsibility for the issue.

When the vehicle was restarted, it was able to drive normally. In addition, the oil pressure gauge fluctuated and returned to normal. Hudiburg Chevrolet (located at 6000 tinker diagonal, midwest city, ok 73110, (844) 362-3330) was called, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

Mileage: Approx. 43600 twice this past week while driving, both on Wednesday, the electronics completely shut down 'no engine, no steering, no nothing'! electronics returned much like there was an 'auto-reset' breaker. On Friday morning briefly would not start and signaled a perimeter reading. My wife was with me on both occurrences and continued the issue with cliff when the truck was returned without a repair of the issue. Her point was simple, the vehicle could cause a deadly accident. Upon returning home susan researched the internet and found the problem was mentioned with only two mentions of potential repairs that made little sense; I.e., a fly wheel sensor, the negative battery cable assembly, a repair of G218 ground, etc.

I purchased this truck used 3 mo ago, from a dealer with ~101,000 mi on it. In the past several weeks I have had multiple electrical problems, affecting multiple systems. Initially, the problems involved the stabilitrack and power steering dash warnings alarming, with a slight change in responsiveness of the steering. It has progressed to complete loss of electrical power (dash, ac, radio, everything goes out, loss of power assisted steerin, and 2/3 times with the vehicle requiring being restarted manually (engine had also shut down). Typically after the electrical flicker either the stabilitrack, the power steering or both messages with alarm. This has generally happened when approaching a stop, somewhere between 20 mph and 5 mph, but it next originates after the vehicle has stopped. 2 of the 3 times also included stopping with a gentle turn, as approaching a stop, from which I would then turn. One of the electrical flickers occurred on the freeway while in heavy traffic. I have been unable to capture a picture as this is occurring while driving, and the warning indicator turns off after 3-5 seconds.

On 4/2/2019 while traveling at 45 mph, slowed to make left turn. While midway through intersection, engine died, dash lights went out, power steering and brakes gone. Within seconds everything powered back up and engine resumed as if nothing happened. Warning indicators words flashed briefly. I caught "stabilitrack". I drove for another mile and as I was entering driveway about 5 mph and while driving straight, engine and dash lights went off again and restarted again. Prior to all this headlights were flickering and there was a little deadening in the power steering. Truck had 72,950 miles. I checked the grounding points and cleared out the deadening material that slightly impeded it. Not sure this will help. This is actually the second time this has happened. On 6/22/18 at 64,888 miles, I had a similar problem. At that time took it in to shop. They tightened the grounding bolts (G218) and cleaned the battery terminals. I guess it helped until recently. It cost $180.

Vehicle has several electrical issues. First, power steering fails at low speed turns. Then, the car occasionally loses all electrical power (screens, gauges, lights, starter, garage door opener) while parked and off. Then last week, it lost all electrical power at 70+ mph on the highway. Lost power steering, all screens turned off, gauges when to zero, etc. This lasted for about 3 seconds and then everything came back on. Many warning lights including power steering, traction control, parking assist disabled. This also gave a 4WD service warning. Now, I get the service 4WD warning every time I start the vehicle and it will not go into 4 wd.

Cruise control will shut off when using turning signal or rolling up windows. It is very dangerous in busy interstate traffic. Service stabli track and steering assist reduced will come up on display. Power steering is intermittent when turning. Headlights flicker when turning signals are used. Truck will completely shut down for a split second while driving then everything comes back on, complete loss of control when this happens. When knob for headlights is turned from auto to on position the dash and instrument panel gets dim and stabli track and reduced steering assist message comes on. Rear passenger door will not lock using fob, sometimes I will have to hit the unlock button multiple times before door will unlock after lock has been manually pushed down. Passenger seat belt ding is also intermittent, sometimes it will not work at all. My truck just now started having all of these issues at the exact same time. We drove from Texas to Kentucky and back to Texas and these issues all started during this trip. It is not safe for my family, I have always bought Chevrolet and currently own this truck and a Tahoe but they may be my last. All bulbs are good, all fuses and relays are good. Truck now has 66000 miles on it. Battery was replaced around 59000 miles. Seems to be a wiring or ECM (computer) issue to me. I see many complaints similar to mine but yet no recalls have been issued for my VIN number.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the steering icon flashed and a lock indicator displayed. Also, the brake light flashed and various unknown warning indicators flickered on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the steering seized when the steering wheel was turned to the left. In addition, the brakes failed to function properly and excessive force had to be applied to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. Team lake road auto sales (13988 conneaut lake rd, conneaut lake, pa 16316, (814) 382-9336) was notified of the failures and kept the vehicle for over three weeks. A loaner vehicle was provided. The contact had not received any specific technical guidelines regarding diagnosis and repairs. The dealer released the vehicle back to the owner and the failures recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and a second loaner vehicle was provided; however, the vehicle was returned without being repaired. The dealer indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced before it was purchased per NHTSA campaign number: 17V414000 (steering). The contact informed the dealer several times that the remedy failed, but did not receive any recourse. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: PE18012 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes). The manufacturer had not issued any brake system recalls for this year, make, and model vehicle and the VIN was not included in the four electrical system recalls and two steering recalls. The manufacturer was notified of the multiple failures. The failure mileage was not available.

The powers steering goes out when pulling into a parking space. The car has completely turned off while waiting to make a left turn, seems to be effected by turning the blinkers on ", it's like there is a complete glitch in the electrical system " the electric dash comes on and off & yesterday the truck would not start.... This happens randomly, when I'm parking or making a turn. I almost crashed into a vehicle in mid turn as I lost power steering and the vehicle shut off. I put it in park and restarted the truck.

Then waited about 1 minute and truck started and everything was reset, clock time. And it displayed some error on dashboard about rolling down window and it will clear system. But couldn't because about 2 hours before I drove 7 miles to pick my son up from school and got out of truck got my son and when we got back into truck put key in and turned it nothing truck wouldn't start. Nothing at all. Waited a minute tried again truck started right up. Except my window wouldn't roll down driver front window. Every other window works. This truck is barely 4 years old.

My truck has lost power 3 times while driving. Fortunately no accidents have happened as a result, but I no longer feel safe in the vehicle. First occurrence, I was in motion backing into my driveway. Second occurrence, I was leaving my neighborhood and turning right when I lost all power and drifted into traffic. Third occurrence, I was turning right into my neighborhood and ended up on my neighbors front lawn. I took it to a local Chevrolet dealership for repairs, and the problem persists. They made 3 attempts at fixing, I paid each time, and nothing has been repaired.

Takata recall - 2014 Chevy Silverado ltz about 6 months ago now, I have been having this problem and now I have had enough! when turning on a low speed the steering wheel locks and seems to bounce back. I don't know what causes this. It use to happen maybe 1-2 times every month while parking in my drive way. Use to be always in my driveway only. And now that thanksgiving passed and I was doing some shopping with my kids; from 11/22/18-now 11/25/18, it has locked on me about 15 times! once turning left on a green light on a busy city street, it locked and wouldn't turn was going straight with my kids inside and my wife driving! another time parking at store parking lots with cars in front and behind me! and just now 7:26 P.M. it locked 5 times while parking! I took it to get it checked out back in August I believe and all they told me was nothing is wrong. I can not keep driving this or having my wife drive my kids and risk loosing them! you need to fix this now! please! I believe there is a recall going arround; I believe the recall number is 17V414000 a lot of what it says sounds exactly what happens to my truck.
