I was driving on the interstate with cruise control set, and whenever I would signal left to merge into the other lane, the cruise would disengage. I could reset it as usual immediately afterwards, but it had done this before, so I tested multiple times and received the same response almost every time. The dash lights would flicker, as well as mylink window in center console area. It would also go nuts if I rolled up the window and hold a second past the time window was completely up. I had multiple lights within dash light up, then go off (really scary). Happened too fast to tell what lights lit up. Additionally, my power steering went out as I was slowly turning into driveway of my friend's house. He even commented it looked like I was having trouble with the turn, so it wasn't just my imagination. This episode has happened several times before, almost as if the engine had died (but it had not done so). I have read where this was a recall on other models of Chevy trucks, but found no recall information on my VIN. All I know is that if my electronics and/or my steering go out while going down the road and I wreck, GM will have major legal issues on their hands. I have been a lifelong Chevy owner and always keep my vehicles in tip-top shape. Therefore, this is a manufacturer's issue that needs resolved before lives are lost.

  • 70,000 miles
I was driving approximately 70mph on the highway and my Chevy Silverado speedometer lights began to flicker as well as my dash radio that flashed off and came right back on. While these other two things were going on a message on the dash appeared as "service stabilitrak". on a separate occasion, I was going approximately the same speed as mentioned before with cruise control activated and suddenly the cruise control deactivated and the "service stabilitrak" message appeared along with the "deactived power steering", as well as the speedometer lights were flickering. Also it happens most often when I signal while going over 70mph, this is usually the thing that commences all of the messages and flickering of lights along with what I mentioned above.

While moving at low speed attempting to make a turn, vehicle will lose power steering and headlights will dim and flicker. Also sitting at idle vehicle will have no power steering and when turning the steering wheel, lights will dim to almost going out completely. On several occasions when making a turn and this happens vehicle will display that stabil trac has been disengaged. Door locks also unlocked and locked while this was happening. Also when traveling and using cruise control when turning on the turn signals cruise control will disengage and stabil trac notification will come on in display. Dealer replaced battery approximately 6 months ago stating it was bad and these issues mimicked a bad battery. All problems still persist.

Flex fuel sensor malfunction, causing check engine light to go on and inability to remote start car. Verified with local third-party shop that nothing else would be causing this. Did not take into local dealership as have had previous issues with incorrectly fixing a voluntary recall so we utilized the third party shop instead. Located a GM special coverage bulletin (#14289) from 2014 that included our make/model regarding this specific issue, but the VIN is not included in the recall. But Chevrolet can not tell me why the vehicle is not included and cannot look up the specific coverage I was talking about. This has happened several times over the course of about a year, mainly in the wintertime.

When pulling out of my driveway this morning I noticed and orange glow and smoke from the back window. It was an electrical fire from the back defrost that is on recall in Canada for this same vehicle. Why is this not a recall in the us" what if I was driving and my kids were in the car" completely unsafe and needs to be addressed before any one gets hurt.

This trucks module that controls the safety features and chimes not working, there was a recall notice for 2014-2015 number 14V301000 and number 14315. Date @6/6/2014. This truck is a 2014 but not included in the recall. GM will no repair under this recall number. This needs to be recalled. It's a safety issue. It doesn't remind you of seat belts or doors still open or low gas issues and keys being left in the ignition or vehicle transmission being left in drive position with drivers door being open, which would allow a driver to get out without being warning that vehicle is still in drive and possible run driver over if driver leave there vehicle in this condition.

While slowing down and beginning to turn, the truck almost stalls and locks up its steering wheel. This has happened several times in the past week, all driving less than 5 mph in parking lots or driveways where I put on the break and turn at the same time. The truck has stayed on all times except for once. I turned key off, then on and was able to keep driving.

While driving down the highway my wife's purse strap hooked on the door handle on the front passenger side door. While she went to release the purse the door pushed open. The driver side door allowed also allowed the door to open during operation, but only after actuating the door handle twice. After trying to re-lock the doors we noticed the front passnger side door would not lock and determined actuator was faulty. After searching the internet for possible recalls, failure of this component is well documented and seems common.

Traveling at all speeds the stabilitytrak will turn off when hitting the brakes. Simultaneously, the truck will lose quickly lose power and then it comes back on. I have taken the truck to get fixed multiple times at a Chevy dealership and each time they come up with something new that could be the problem. I have called and make 2 complaint to GM/Chevy ([xxx]and [xxx]) both times the manufacturer have done nothing for me. I did the recall back in 2017 for this problem and that did not work. I have had grounding wire work done, a new battery put in, a new engine fuse block with wiring harness, and recently a new steering column. Nothing has worked. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
