When turning my truck left or right, there is a clunking/popping noise coming from under the truck (maybe from the front end). Chevy dealership in portland, tx confirmed the noise but could not find the origin of the noise. So the service manager stopped work and said that they were chasing a "ghost". so I spoke with the owner and he did nothing to help me and advice me to take my truck to another dealer for repair. This problem and many others have been occurring so I am not buying another Chevy in my life, thanks GM for producing another screwed up vehicle.

The vehicle was purchased on August 27th 2014 and had a bad vibration on the drive home. It has a wobble sensation at 35-45 mph felt strongest at 43 mph that feels like it has a bent wheel but it doesnt. When you get to 65-70 mph there is a strong vibration from the truck felt strongest at 68 mph and it only occurs on smooth level roads and even changing lanes does not change the vibration at all so it is not related to the road conditions other then being flat and smooth. The dealer has made five unsuccessful attempts to fix it already and cannot find the problem and cannot fix the problem and has refused to try to fix it anymore. After researching this issue I have found that one out of five GM trucks (Chevy & GMC) have this same issue even though there are not many people reporting this yet. Do not buy or let anyone you know buy a Chevy & GMC truck in the 2014 or 2015 years, 1 in 5 are lemons the vibrations are so bad that it will make you car sick after a few miles and can aggravate existing conditions such as people with back issues. This problem also greatly reduces the trade-in or resale value of the vehicle and will make selling it yourself very problematic if not impossible. If you look on youtube you will see people are starting to post some videos to show this vibration problem.

Driving on the freeway at 70 mph and the kid in the back of the crewcab pickup opened the rear door. The truck locks the doors when it is put into drive. But when he pulled on the door latch it opened up. I thought the doors are not supposed to open while the vehicle is moving. When I tested this at home, with the truck running and in drive, any of the doors will open up on the 2nd pull on the latch. The 1st pull unlocks the door and on the 2nd pull it opens the door. I have had many other trucks and they never did this. Seems like a safety issue to me. Can youtell me if the NHTSA has any safety rules on this? I called the dealer and talked with the service advisor and he confirmed that other 2014 Silverado do this to, so he had no fix for it. There is a child lock out switch for the read doors, but that would have to be manually set every time you put it in drive and would not lock either of the front two doors. Please let me know if there is a safety rule for this. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
