There is a defect in the A/C condenser. Coolant was leaking from a hole in the condenser and the A/C no longer worked. The truck was very hot to drive in. The repair was very expensive $800. This leak was not a result of any body damage or crash.

Ac is blowing warm air. Brought to dealer 7/17/2017 and was told the condenser was leaking after charging me $200 to diagnose they told me my warranty would cover the repair but I had to wait for the part to be redesigned and made available. Two and a half months later 10/02/2017 they had the part but now told me that my warranty will not cover the $1100 cost to repair. I did not have the $1100 since I was told the repair would be covered. I also do not believe that the customers should have to pay for a part/repair on a known bad design.

The ac started blowing out hot air when I was driving back home. Took it to dealership and it came back that I had a broken condenser hose and it leaked out all the coolant. According to GM there well aware with the 2014 models doing this. That there's a defect in the hose, don't see why owners of these veichles should have to pay out of pocket.

Today I purchased a new set of truck tires at dave stern tire located in paterson, New Jersey.near completion the service manager informed me that one of my lug nuts split/cracked on one side, the caster cover on the lug nut came off.I observed that like has happened to my 2006 Chrysler 300 the same thing and problem-there is a safety hazard that the lug nuts can crack and come off while driving. All of those lug nuts sheered off and or rounded and costed me money to replace all of them. On my Chrysler, like now my Chevy Silverado I have to go to a certified dealer to purchase all new ones, these lug nuts cannot be purchased in a automotive store due to the certain tappered end to fit securely to keep the wheel on, in closeing this is a dealer defect and new lug nuts- are need to replace the casted covered/and lug nuts that was original equipment when this truck was purchased from dealer originally.this is a safety hazard waiting to happen.

I have a 2014 Silverado and the ac condenser just went out. I brought it to a shop and it appears they bracket has a leak and the entire condenser has to be changed. The mechanic stated that this is a known issue and after reading all the other complaints on your site it appears he was right. GM knows of this issue and has not placed a recall for this part.

Ac condenser leaking. Condensers are being redesigned and are on back order. I was told not to ask for a timeline to fix and they will not give me a loaner vehicle. I live in Florida and not having ac is a problem.

My 2014 Silverado was just out of warranty and my A/C condenser went out. I've contacted GM and they have done nothing but say they'll pay $200 out of the $1300 estimate the dealership gave me. This part is nationally backordered, which means it is in high demand, because GM put a bad condenser in these trucks. They are doing absolutely nothing to help the customers but pay a measly portion of the bill most working class americans cant just jump up and pay. I will never buy a GM after this experience. In Kentucky the summers are miserable, and without ac it makes them that much more miserable. Bottom line, GM caused this problem, GM should fix this problem.

The truck turned off on me on the freeway and I lost control for a few seconds. Had to pay to get it towed to my house because it was at night couldn't take it to the dealer. Took it to the dealer after and they said it was my battery. I'm just getting tired of all the issues that GM has. I'm getting frustrated of taking my truck in for recalls every other month! can some one help I'm trying to get my money back.

Purchase $52,000 truck 2/14. Nine recalls on nebulous matters. At 46,000 miles and 3 1/2 years, a C began blowing hot air. Condenser is leaking. G M condenser not available - national back order. Dealer offered after market condenser for $863. Have learned the national back order involved 18,000 condensers. This many G M 2014 Silverado owners have the same problems. Chevrolet should be required to give owners some relief on this faulty truck part. There are complaints all over the country about this. I realize this is not a safety issue, but don't know where else to report this matter. Leaking so much coolant might be an environmental issue.

A/C condenser developed a crack and has failed / all freon has leaked out, have tried to work with GM and nothing but just telling us 2 to 3 months out for the part / it's 99 degrees with 70% today in South Carolina plus this is the 9th week I have nothing. The local dealership tried to step in and help because GM would not and they will not even answer the dealerships calls. I'm one pissed off consumer with no other place to turn

I purchased the truck May 2015. The ac condenser went out April 2017. It has been at the dealership and the part has some type of hold on it. Reading forums Chevrolet knows this is an issue, but is in no hurry to fix the problem. Also read that this issue is more likely to occur again. There is no reason a 2 year old truck should be having ac issues. It is very common in the specific year. GM needs to stand behind their product and make it right.

Purchased a new 2014 off the lot with 7 miles and we have had nothing but trouble with this truck. From air bag sensors going out and the dealer refusing to cover this to the seat being replaced. The rear went out and had to be replaced. The ac has been replaced twice. Both times called Chevy asking for help and was denied assistance. Seatbelt issues. Computer screen issues. Tire senor issues rattling in the dashboard. I will never own another Chevrolet product again. This is the primary vehicle my husband drives to work and back home. This truck is only 3 years old and we have actually think we have a defective product and Chevy doesn't seem to wanna help us. I hate to write the monthly note out each month paying for something that's always breaking down. I will never own another Chevrolet product.

Known GM issue with A/C condenser. National back ordered part...nearly every 2014 Silverado has has this issue, or is going to. Also known issue with radiator cracking issue....nearly all 2014's will have this issue if not already. Both my condenser and radiator has to be replaced. GM must fix these known issues
