GM has recall 14315 for my year make and style of vehicle. They tell me that my VIN is not listed for this recall. My vehicle has the problems listed in this recall. All sounds do not work including the seat beat reminder, the door open reminder and all vehicle sounds from the speakers. GM will not repair it as my VIN does not come up in there system for this recall. How can my VIN be included for this serious safety issue.

Driving down single lane road I began to stop for red light, as I began to depress brake pedal but it was stiff and had significant effect slowing my truck. I drove of right side of road into wet grass too avoid collision of SUV stoped in front of me. There was no loss of control or damage done to exterior of truck or myself. As I'm almost completely stoped the side curtain air bags deploy for no apparent reason causing sever damage it the interior panels, headliner and both front seat belts that have that contain small charge permintly lock and now are un usable.I was only person in truck but the passenger front seat belt is retracted and locked guitar string tight.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving approximately 45 mph and attempting to merge to the right lane, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. There was no warning indicator illuminated. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a minor injury that did not require medical attention. The contact's vehicle sustained front end damage and was towed. The body damage was repaired. The contact was not sure if the manufacturer was notified. After the repairs, while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle shook and did not drive in a straight line on the road. The contact also stated that the steering wheel and the seat belts shocked him when the vehicle was started. The contact also stated that the passenger side air bag was exposed and the air bag showed burn marks around the edges. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who stated that there was no failure with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

My truck has been modififed by either a powerful entity or by the dealership itself at the direction of a powerful entity. Truck has so many problems. I bought from same dealership out of show room and trusted them. After accident, air bags did not deploy and I couldnt figure out why. See burn marks around edges of airbags along with conductive string sew into them. Also noticed extra conductors added along with extra insulator layer. Cigarette outlets all manipulated after replaced with higher output plugs. Also found air bag sensors which are discontinuted as they belong to trucks from 2007-2009. Frame is for a 1ton truck which has beengreased front to back. Axels are clearly older and are labeled for a CK2500 (1 tom) model drive shaft and many other components have markings throughout to establish path of least resistance to guide short of electricity to driver to shock me. Modles modfified to gain access to truck. I am lucky to be alive. You guys have to see this truck in person. Way too uch to list. Dealership had it long time to do repairs. When taken back to them to figure out hwy the loud shakes, the dealershp certified shop tech stated everything is perfectl normal. That wa S a lie.eewwdduuuuuuuuuuuuuefu

Takata recall-I was in a wreck 12-24-2017 and I was hit from behind. The bed of my truck was hit so hard by a distracted driver while I was at a stop light, that it twisted up and hit the cab of the truck. My airbags never deployed and my seatbelt never locked up. I am severely injured and am still seeking treatment for my injuries. It was over $11,000 in damages. The truck now down shifts and it sounds likie the bottom is dropping out. It also shakes when at highway speed.

I was trying to miss a deer unsuccessfully and went off road and the side of road had a bank drop off and as I was trying to get my 2015 Silverado 1500 back on the road the rear end started sliding down then my truck tuck off down embankment and rested on a couple trees one of which I hit head on. After I came too I looked down and noticed my airbag had not came out on the steering wheel just on the sides. So I was thinking maybe my truck was not hurt that bad. As you can see from the photos that I was lucky to be alive and to pay this much money for a vehicle and the air bags that is supposed to save your life does not work makes me really upset even though I really loved my truck. Accident early mornings of October 7, 2017.

The side curtain airbags deployed while I was driving on a paved roadway. I did not hit anything prior to incident. GM states that they will not take responsibility for the truck. I was thankfully not injured and no one else was injured. There is no physical damage to the truck at all. GM has absolutely no concern for the public safety. The recall on the airbags had been "fixed" by bob howard dealership in Oklahoma city the month before the airbags deployed. The seatbelt recall was also fixed the month before as well.

While on a dirt road driving at a slow speed, the side curtain airbags deployed. The vehicle did not hit anything and no other damage occurred. GM sent a 3rd party to evaluate the vehicle and declared the warranty void since we had installed a 4" lift kit. There is currently a recall for takata airbags on this particular truck but GM says this is unrelated. This vehicle was purchased new in March of 2016 and had 5089 miles when this incident occurred. How can GM deny this claim. Shouldn't they have to prove that the lift kit caused the deployment if that is their reason for denial? no where in the warranty information does it state installing a lift kit can cause the side air bags to deploy. No where on the information provided from the lift kit manufacturer does it state your warranty could be void if you install the kit. This isn't right. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The vehicle was involved in a full frontal collision with another vehicle when the other vehicle entered the roadway. The 2015 suffered extensive front damage and was declared a total loss. The airbags did not deploy. GM was contacted about the none deployment. GM sent a representative to investigate the none deployment. After the investigation GM notified me that the airbag system functioned properly and that there wasn't any problems with the airbags not deploying. I kept all correspondence from GM because I felt that there was a problem with the system. This vehicle was listed in a recent recall from GM concerning airbags not deploying.

Silverado 1500

  • 17,040 miles
The vehicle was a total loss. Loss control while avoiding a deer. Slid into ditch. Hit a driveway entrance. Was airborne approx. 15 yards. Nose dived into the ground and went back across the ditch into a field, turned left and went into a wooded area of pines. Left front fender made contact with a pine ( about eight inches thick ) partially up rooting and continued on to wedge between two pines. Air bags failed to deploy and the seat belt tighten up so tight that I had to use a fairly large screw drive, that I had in the center console, to beat the release in order to unlock the seat belt. With the vehicle getting airborne and nose diving into the ground and the impact of the left front fender into the tree, the air bags should have deployed. The vehicle was traveling South East on a highway it was approx. 9:30 pm.
