Summary
Fuel Odor During Fuel Filling or During Idle, Possible P0442 or P0455 DTCs Set Some customers may comment on a strong fuel odor during fuel filling or during vehicle idle. Cause This may be caused by the fracture or breaking of the gasoline filler neck recirculation line connector Correction If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, complete the following procedure: 1. Raise the vehicle and visually inspect the fuel tank filler vent hose connector for damage. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in SI. • If connector is damaged, replace the fuel tank filler vent hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Vent Hose Replacement in SI. • If there is no damage to the connector, continue diagnosis referring to SI.
