Transmission will make a hard shift sometimes, mostly at low speeds and light trottle. Feels like you just hit a large pothole.

I purchased a 2016 Silverado lt leftover in Feb of 2017 with 44 miles on it. I noticed a vibration while accelerating and deceleration and at about 70-80 mph. I figured it was the GM factory 22 inch rally 2 edition wheels being in balanced and since I was changing the wheels and tires at 1000 miles anyway I figured it would go away. Since putting on the new tires and wheels the problem is still there and I have had it at a GM dealer twice and my third appointment in on 4-5-17 at a different dealer since the first one does not seem to believe me when I said it was happening with the stock wheels and tires. This makes driving a 50 plus thousand truck not enjoyable at all.

While driving the transmission clunks into gear many times. It will clunk into gear when down shifting and upshifting and almost feels like a bad U joint but its the transmission. Feels very sloppy. I had Chevrolet look at it twice and was told that according to GM thats the way its supposed to be and the they all shift like that. The service tech told me that its obviously not right yet GM refuses to acknowledge the problem and he has many customers complaining.

The truck has a vibration issue that my Chevy dealer can not correct. Tires have been balanced. Still have the issue. They installed 4 new tires and rims and still have the vibration.

Steady driving between 35 and 65 mph, the truck shudders and the RPM tach needle jumps. It does not do it while shifting but when running at a steady speed. My 4th time at the dealership and they are only focused on the vibration of the truck and are now replacing the third tire. I agree the vibration is bad but the shuddering is ridiculous. There is a technical bulletin for the Silverado with the 6.2 transmission with the exact same issues. I called the service tech who has my truck and he said "your truck doesn't have that transmission." I said "I realize that rich...however it is the same issue." He said as soon as they get the new tire in they are going to test drive it some more. Did I mention they have had it five days this time and they still don't have a tire. Also...according to the technical bulletin #pip5337D, the shudder is torque converter.

Issue 1 - transmission: The Chevrolet Silverado has a 6-speed transmission that clunks / hard shifts (very hard). GM indicates that this is normal and/or the transmission is adapting to your driving style. The clunk is very distraction (startling) when driving. The transmission also hesitates in selecting gears. This is very dangerous when attempting to accelerate into traffic. On two occasion, I attempted to merge on to the interstate and the delayed transmission engagement almost resulted in a collision. Issue 2 - engine: The Chevrolet Silverado has an active fuel management that drops the truck down to 4 cylinders. When this occurs, the entire truck will vibrate / reverberate causing headaches. Google "Chevy shakes".

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact coasted into a parking lot and noticed that the front passenger side axle independently shifted to the rear of the chassis, which potentially caused a spark to the tires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Vehicle shakes at speeds above 60 mph. The shake is in the vehicle and not in the steering wheel. Tires have all been replaced under warranty and problem still exists. Vehicle has approximately 1,200 miles on it and problem has been apparent from initial purchase. Vehicle has now been to dealership 3 times for approximately 10 days in total.

I am having an issue with my new 2016 Silverado and a vibration at highway speeds. I took the truck back to the dealer where it was purchased with around 340 miles on it. I was told they could do nothing until I had 1000 miles on the truck (they stated they could not get paid by Chevy for warranty items). That ticket stated they rebalanced my tires. This had no change. I took the truck back after 1000 miles. The dealer did a road force balance. This helped very little. Now, at 1345 miles, it is back in the shop. They state they will do a picoscope on the truck and check the axle. I should mention the underlying issue is a vibration that can be felt at speeds in excess of 65-70mph. It is more prevalent from 70-75mph. I have filed a complaint with GM, reference case 82405350103. This appears to be the same issue for the 2014-2015 models referred to as the "Chevy shake". one more attempt and I will likely start lemon law procedures in ga. I would like someone to seriously investigate GM on this complaint. There are plenty of forums with people complaining about the same issue. This could be an extremely dangerous issue if it is tire or wheel related, or even drive shaft related.

The issue(s) that I am experiencing all appear to be with the trucks 8 speed transmission. The first two occur during breaking and the third happens when accelerating from a 'cold' start. A description of each of the three major issues are outlined below: 1)during initial breaking the truck will begin to slow down as intended and without warning it abruptly accelerates/slides forward (see breaking profiles). This typically happens between 10-20 mph. 2)during breaking just before coming to a stop I experience a hard jerk or shudder (see breaking profiles). 3)during a 'cold' start, in the morning or after work, the transmission will sometimes slip and shift hard while pulling out of my driveway/parking lot. The issues are all intermittent.

I bought a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 ltz Z71 and it vibrates at idle and the transmission is slipping. I had already took it to the dealership to get it fix, but no luck. GM told me that is how the truck is designed to operate, which is hard to believe. There is absolutely zero help from GM to help me resolve the problem. I was given an option to trade it in for a new one at my own expenses or deal with the problem. Ford would not take my truck as a trade in nor will GMC. This vehicle can potentially by dangerous and a liability as the transmission seem to have a mind of its own and the constant vibration cannot possibly he good for anyone.
