Air conditioning compressor had cracked. This is a known problem on these vehicles and GM does nothing about it. Im sure there are thousands of complaints. Truck is 3 years old with 50K miles. Fair to have to pay a $1,000+ for gms neglect? please step in here, a lot of people are getting hurt by this. No recall has been issued and clearly it warrants one. Thank you for your time.

The A/C in my 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stopped working on 5/15/2019 I took the vehicle to the dealer on 5/16/2019 to have looked at. I was told that there is a pinhole leak in the condenser. I was charged $120 to have the problem diagnosed. The cost to repair was estimated at over $900 what upsetting is that I'm now finding out that this is a known problem that GM is totally aware of.

I have had this hard jerking and slamming of my transmission in my truck since I purchased it brand new. It occurs when going from reverse to drive it will hesitate and not go into gear and then it slams and jerks the vehicle violently with a aloud crack noise of the gears slamming together. It also occurs when I am in between the speed of 40-50 mph. I will be driving down the road and the truck will slam into gear while driving. It also had a very high idol and shakes the truck. I have brought my truck into the Chevrolet dealership for these issue 5+ times now and contacts the GM to help get my issue solved and they just can't not fix the issue. I don't want to get stranded with my family if the transmission decided to break or cause trouble. I have had multiple occurrences of this issue happening.

There was a hissing sound and smoke in the area of the rear power sliding window, I had read about this concern online and was able to shut my rear defroster off before it blew out the back window but not everyone is that lucky. GM has a bulletin about a small water leak in the same area but does not acknowledge that it is related to the rear window shattering. The water leaks in directly onto the power components of the glass, creates a short that overheats the glass, and ultimately ends with the rear glass shattering. I was lucky enough to catch mine before it blew out but that could cause a hazard for anyone sitting in the back seat, I do not feel that there should be a recall but some sort of extended coverage on this component for those who express the same complaint. Even if you catch it before the window blows out, the damage from the short is only fixed by replacing the entire rear window assembly (that is what they did to mine). Concern could be moving or stationary as long as the rear defroster is in use. Link to water leak bulletin: Https://GM.oemdtc.com/8793/water-leak-under-back-glass-from-power-sliding-window-2014-2016-Chevrolet-Silverado-GMC-Sierra where the leak is identified is exactly where I saw the smoke come from. 1) cold starts, put truck in gear (forward/reverse) truck does not move and then all of a sudden truck lurches into direction selected. Velocity of truck acceleration is enough to spin tires on gravel, grass and pavement. 2) after extended highway driving and ci.ing to a stop (exit ramp) and trans slips upon initial start and shifting. 3) stop and go driving on express (45 mins.) when traffic started to move and removing foot from brake, truck rolls and when shifting into next gear, trans abruptly shifts and squawk tires. Had to allow truck to start rolling while keeping foot on brake and keeping truck from lurching forward and squealing tires and hitting vehicle in front of me. 4) when passing or accelerating onto expressway, can feel the propulsion fluttering. * problem is ongoing and experienced since new. Numerous trips to dealership and recalibrated shifting and problem continues. I have pics of tire spin upon initial engagement of trans and abrubtly accelerating vehicle.

While backing up at low speeds to hook up to a trailer on an incline or even backing up with to no trailer. Multiple times you lose the power brakes which is a severe safety hazard especially when backing up to something. Multiple times I've had to stand on the pedal as hard as possible to stop the truck from hitting the trailer. The pedal has the feeling of no power brakes. This happens at low speed which would be typical backing up to hook onto a load.

Transmission is jerky, and dealership says it's not safe to drive. Faulty transmission wiring harness and heat sensor. Truck has been at dealership for 18 days and GM has no estimate as to when the wiring harness will be available. I'm paying for a 50K truck and paying for a rental with no end in sight. Should be a recall, service tech at dealership told me the part was being 're-tooled'

Purchased brand new Chevy Silverado 1500 in 2016, noticed significant shaking of vehicle 11 months into owning. This vehicle is solely used for a daily to and from office job commute, consuming approximately 45 miles a day, mostly highway. The vehicle upon reaching 70 mph shakes terribly, enough to shake my coffe out of the cup. At the same time I also began to notice the quick wearing and feathering/warping of my tires on the inside tread area. Took the vehicle to the dealership and was told I needed new tires, mind you at under 19,000 miles and the shaking "should" stop. Had the tires replaced along with an alignment and the issue still remains. The dealership has been consistent with giving me the run around. Spoke with several Silverado owners whom have the issues, some earlier in ownership while others sometime later. Apparently this issue has been given a name "Chevy shakes". searched on line for this issue and surprisingly the problem is well documented/discussed. I'm getting the perception that this is a huge problem and Chevy is doing their best to cover it up. Filing this complaint to go along with the others. Hopefully this problem is addressed with a preventive mindset rather than waiting for someone to get seriously injured or killed. It's time for a recall!

This vehicle (2016 Silverado) has all the characteristics associated with the "Chevy shake", an unresolvable driveline under seat vibration that is very severe at times. GM has issued service bulletin pi1354C which I followed at my expense to reduce / eliminate the severe shake that occurs at speeds of 69 ' 79 mph with no improvement. I believe it is a safety matter when a vehicle shakes to the extent of driver distraction and there are dangers associated with the long term effect on safety components that are subject severe shaking that they wouldn't otherwise be subjected to under normal durability testing. I do not feel "in control" while driving the vehicle when the severe shaking occurs at 69mph. I believe that since this is an ongoing build issue with thousands of documented complaints GM should be held accountable to determine the cause and provide relief to GM truck owners.
