Anti-lock brakes activitating @ 10 mph or less.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving approximately 40 mph, the contact smelled smoke. She pulled into a parking lot and noticed that the front driver's side tire was smoking. In addition, the hub cap melted and fell to the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they stated that the braking system failed. The current and failure mileages were 78,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. When the contact applied pressure to the brake pedal, the ABS failed and the pedal extended to the floor. The vehicle was unable to be stopped. The dealer replaced both slow speed ABS sensors at the cost of $212 each. The manufacturer did not assist. The failure mileage was 16,000 and current mileage was 18,000.

The brake pedal shook when it was depressed. The dealer had tried several fixes, but the brake problem continued. The contact had an appointment to have the hub sensor replaced. The current mileage is 13,000.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had continuous problems with the brakes. The steering wheel vibrated while braking. The dealer determined that both front rotors were out by 4 thousands of an inch. The dealer resurfaced both front rotors. The brakes continued to be a problem so the dealer replaced the rotors. The consumer still experienced some brake shimmy. The dealer replaced the brake vacuum booster.

: the contact stated the brakes on the vehicle are not working properly. When applying the brakes, the rear brakes do not work. The vehicle was taken to the dealership to determine what the problem. The dealership adjusted the rear brakes and explained the vehicle was repaired. After driving the vehicle for a period of time, it is experiencing the same problems with the brakes. The vehicle was taken in a second time for repairs to be made. At that time the drums were turned. The vehicle was driven again for a period of time, while still experiencing the same problems with the brakes. The vehicle was taken back a third time and at this time the dealership is unable to duplicate the problem.
