Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about hairline cracks may be noticed in the pad friction material, when performing a brake inspection. Technician should be advised that the hairline cracks do not affect the operation of the brake system and the pads should not be replaced if only hairline cracks are found.
