While at dealership for repair work mechanic determined that rear rotors were crumbling and needed to be replaced, drums and lining as well. The emergency brake was not working. The rear brakes were corroded and worn out. The rear brake pads and both rear rotors were replaced. The brake shoes on both sides were replaced. There was a squeaking noise in the front end when the vehicle goes over bumps. The driver door panel failed and was reinstalled, also the arm rest for the bucket seat pops off constantly, seat belts lock up after being replaced twice under recall, the steering joint was repaired, also when consumer steps on the gas, the truck does not move for a few seconds, the rear window was replaced, due to leaking, and the engine hesitates.

Throttle linkage has shown increasing pedal effort to move accelerator from the idle position. Was advised by dealer that throttle body should be cleaned, however service manual indicates throttle body should not need cleaning except for high mileage engines. A later service bulletin indicates throttle body replacement is warranted (#00-06-04-007B). Although condition began prior to expiration of warranty, dealer will not repair vehicle (mileage >36000). Since new, have also had to have both power window drive motors and regulators replaced (one under warranty and another after warranty expiration).

Vehicle will not go into drive after it sits for a while. Vehicle will start up, but once it goes in drive engine will rev, but no movement. Problem seems to be intermittent. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong with vehicle. Consumer is considering getting a second opinion. When hitting bumps and applying the brakes, there is a noise. Accelerator pedal sticks, dealer replaced the throtle body. Plastic bezel at tailgate handle came off, delaer reinstalled.

After pickup has been driven for a few minutes, like to a shopping center, and the engine is stopped. Upon restarting engine the throttle will stick, requiring an estamated 30 to 80 pounds pressure to activate. Then, it will suddenly depress causing the pickup to "jump." This is dangerous, particularly backing out into traffic or trying to back to hitch a trailer.

When we first noticed the accelerator sticking, the dealer would not look at it until they could duplicate the problem so we literally had to smash our foot on the accelator to get the vehicle to accelorate. At times we were trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic and the accelerator would stick in the middle of the intersection at which point the dealer could reduplicate the problem and the throttle plate was cleaned. Approximately 1-2 months later it began showing the same symptoms only this time it is taking longer to completely stick. It was explained to me that the dealer will not be reimbursed for the parts by GM if they can't prove the accelerator sticks first. My question then is do I have to be killed by an oncoming semi while trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic before someone will fix my vehicle properly. My next question is am I the only one complaining about this. Someone needs to take a closer look at this problem and fix it before a fatality occurs. My last question is what causes this problem. I have heard a variety of excuses that throttle plates get dirty, a new car shouldn't be doing that, etc, etc. Help!!!!!( dot number: Tire size: 16 )
