Summary
Diagnostic Tip for Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illuminated - DTC P249D, P249E, U029D, U029E Set Some customers may comment that the MIL is illuminated. The technician may find one or more of the following DTCs set: • U029D • U029E • P249D • P249E Note: The graphic above depicts an example of a torn and missing seal. • Moisture intrusion past a damaged (1) seal located in the connector for the NOx sensor wiring harness. • Missing (2) seal located in the connector for the NOx sensor wiring harness. Correction If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, perform normal diagnostics for the codes set. ⇒ If diagnostics lead to NOx sensor replacement, inspect the mating chassis electrical connector for corrosion. Clean and repair as necessary.
