There is a history of problems with 1990-1995 GMC and Chevy 2-wheel Suburban having failure of the ABS. I contacted the zone rep, who was nice, but said no recall campaign to-date means no replacement by GM. I am driving the vehicle as-is (without anti-lock) and continuing to pursure how to have GM replace the defective kelsey units.

The antilock brake sensor has been inoperative sine 12/97 and has been inspected multiple times. The replacement part and relay will cost aprox. $700 so I have not replaced it. The ABS warning light in the dash panel is always on. I have no idea if the ABS system will really work in a sudden stop. I am trying to get this vehicle approved for coverage under the "special policy" recall just announced by GM but this does not yet cover Suburban as they have an ongoing investigation.
