I continue to have reoccurring problems with my 2015 Chevy Suburban. The problems consist of electronics resetting/flashing or turning off and staying off, specifically, media system, window control. Many times this occurs at a similar time to the stabilitrack warning system coming on and losing power steering and complete loss of power to the vehicle. Sometimes after the loss of power the vehicle will not crank without being jumped off. The vehicle was brought in for service at captiol Chevrolet in montgomery for these issues on 8/27/19-8/30/19. No diagnostic codes were found, however, it was recommended we service the dirty throttle body as this could be part of the problem. We had this service performed. Since then, we've experienced problems on 9/2/19 @ 4pm-ish- all electronics flashed off/on while traveling down interstate, followed by stabilitrack warning and loss of power steering while coming to stop at bottom of interstate off ramp approx. 15 min. Later. 9/12/19 @ 3:45 pm- stabilitrack came on 3X in a row with loss of engin power, all electronics went off, including no window control or screen, came back on when cranked but delay in screen coming on. 9/19/19 @ 3:08 pm-media screen flashed and reset clock to 12:00. 9/19/19 @ 7pm- car died while parking in sam's wholesale parking lot and had to be jumped off. Car will not turn over at all until jumper cables are connected and then it typically cranks right up. New interstate battery was purchased 4/6/18. When we had problems with vehicle last fall this battery was replaced with a new interstate battery on 11/3/18. We haven't had problems with car from that point until August 2019. It did seem to help but I can't afford to replace the car battery every 9 or 10 months. Chevy doesn't seem to know what the problem is or how to fix it.

When traveling at slow speeds, I.e., parking lot or restaurant drive-thru line, and making sharp turns, car stabilitrak warning will flash then loss of power steering and complete loss of power will result. Additionally, the media electronics will shut off and restart periodically. This doesn't necessarily happen at the same time, although, this never happens when I am not having problems with the stabilitrak system. (see previous complaint: 11122704) took car for service at capitol Chevy on 8/30/19. They said no codes were indicated, however, throttle body was dirty and could have an effect on my issue. Throttle body was serviced/cleaned. On Sept. 2, 2019 I had issue with media system and stabilitrak. While traveling southbound on I-85, cruise control set approx. 75 mph, I braked to disengage cruise speed when media system reset. I pulled into my driveway approx. 20 minutes later and while traveling at slow speed and turning in my driveway, the stabilitrak warning came on resulting in loss of power steering. I was nearly at a stop when it happened. Sometimes when the car loses power in these situations it will have to be jumped off to restart. Which happened prior to being serviced on 8/28/19. I read about similar stories on Chevy message boards related to 2015 models,

Loss of gps, onstar, xm and compass function. Water has leaked into the roof mounted shark-fin antenna. Vehicle has lost compass, gps, onstar and xm capabilities. Dealer recommends replacing roof mounted antenna. Despite this being a known problem acknowledged by Chevrolet in sb-10058785-9942 this VIN was not included and customer will be charged out of pocket for antenna replacement.

1) intermittently when turning vehicle at slow speeds, there is sudden loss of steering and electric power steering violently bouncing the wheel back to neutral position when attempting to steer left or right. There is also sudden loss of electricity, engine turns off, requiring to shift to park and restart engine. This issue usually occurs after rain or after car wash (water entering shark fin antenna) 2) intermittent complete power loss throughout the vehicle (occurs especially after rain - when shark fin antenna gets filled with water) and feels like battery is suddenly completely dead. Sometimes it can not be jump started immediately, and after more than an hour, it may be jump started. 3) water leaking into the front left corner of roof (driver side) after rain - again due to shark fin anternna leak. There are many owners of Chevy Suburban/Tahoe, Silverado, GM truck reporting exactly same problems all over internet and on youtube. This problem still exists after the recent 09/07/2018 recall 18V586000 fix. This recall did not help solve this problem. In many youtube videos people report having fixed this issue by replacing battery positive and ground cables, as well as by removing the sound dampening material trapped under G218 ground on the driver side of dash (people have mentioned about increased resistance across G218 ground). The 2015 Chevrolet Suburban that I drive power goes out when I am turning into a parking space, making a sharp turn, and try to come to a quick stop. This happens every time I am driving. It also delays to turn off when I am parked. It sounds like it's trying to crank up on a low gas level. Sometimes when I am at a light and try to press on the gas, it stalls like it's trying to get gas.

Water leak inside cabin. Water build up in driver side floor board, either coming from on star/shark fin antenna, can trace water leak up under the dashboard to where all the electrical wirings are. Lost on star and gps service due to this. Random dash light and interior light flickering. Two incidents so far where vehicle shuts off while driving. One on nearby street and other on the highway. Lost steering and braking ability. No electricity so could not turn on hazard lights to alert other drivers around me.

I received a recall notification from Chevy (recall number 18289) and my vehicle had occasionally experienced some of the listed problems in the recall so I immediately took my car in to be serviced. After the the recall service my car seemed to be fixed, but that only lasted a few days. The problem is back and even worse than before. When turning the steering wheel at low speeds the my car experiences temporary loss of power, the entire electrical system shorts out briefly (radio, display screen, power locks all turn off/on) and the wheel becomes difficult to turn. Since having the recall problem "fixed", in addition to the above still happening, the wheel just loses power steering (very difficult to turn) or locks up without electrical loss and on two separate occasions all of the above has happened and my care stalls mid turn and I have to put my car in park to restart it. I have taken it to the dealer and they want to charge me to diagnose and fix any problems. I have also placed a call to Chevrolet and am waiting on a response. I am concerned and hesitant to drive my vehicle with this safety issue still occurring.

Vehicle was serviced at the local Chevrolet dealership subject to NHTSA recall no: 18V-586 on Friday, September 14, 2018. The next day, 9/15/18, vehicle experienced same problems that were happening prior to being serviced. Specifically, on Saturday(9/15) at approx. 4:30 P.M. cst, while making a rolling right hand turn on green the vehicle lost power steering and lost all power. No one was directly behind me as I stopped in the middle of the city street. I put on the flashers and, after unsuccessfully trying to restart the vehicle in neutral, was able to restart the car while in park. I noticed the battery voltage meter was lower than normal for the remainder of my trip, however, it had returned to normal the next morning. This has been an ongoing problem which started on Aug. 9, 2018. First trip to the Chevy dealership resulted in replacing the F-module. Problems persisted and the next recommendation was to replace the negative battery cable, which was done on 9/10/18. Now, after servicing due to recall, I continue to have the same problem.

While driving all of the power cuts off including power steering. Alternator, oil, fuel, struts, battery X 2 have been changed out in attempt to correct issue. Issue is still present. Local Chevy dealership unable to rectify problem. There have been numerous incidents with potential accidents. There seems to be a power draw on the system, unable to find any kinked or frayed wires. While driving all lighting including gauges dims usually prior to complete vehicle electrical failure. I have a video of electrical dimming, but unable to load on here. Vehicle is labeled as 2015 but manufacture date is 2014, ive noticed there is a recall on 2014 models for electrical chassis failure however my VIN is not encompassed in this recall.

Second time: (8/25/18) in drive-through line at restaurant and steering wheel jerked, power steering warning flashed on dash before car lost all power. I put car in park, restarted car and it happened again. Incident happened at extremely slow speed while making a hard left turn. Restarted car second time no additional problems. First time: (8/8/18) several weeks ago a similar incident happened while my wife was making sharp turn at low speed into a parking space at grocery store. Took car to local Chevy dealership and they replaced a electronic part, module.

When turning into parking lot today at low speed, electrical system went crazy, screen flashed power steering failure, stabilitrac failure, doors locked and unlocked and engine died. Restarted and was fine driving forward and repeated failures again when turning to park in parking space. It is fortunate this was in a parking lot and not on interstate or other main road or while turning at a traffic light.

Onstar gps failed to locate my vehicle when reporting an accident I was involved in 5/4/2018. The gps antenna is the failing component. This has been identified in GM service bulletin 15155. Under this bulletin owners where supposed to be notified of the issue, I was not. GM will not honor the repair because the bulletin expired. If this accident was major and I had not been able to relay my location emergency services would not have been able to render care. The failure of this safety product and monitoring service should be corrected by GM.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that there was an electrical failure, which prevented the navigation system and the antenna from functioning properly. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who indicated that the vehicle was excluded from a manufacturer recall campaign. The dealer indicated that the vehicle would need to be inspected and diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and also indicated that the vehicle was excluded from a recall. The manufacturer suggested that a dealer diagnose and repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

When the failure occurred, the steering wheel would became very difficult to turn, an audio chime activated, and the door locks would repeatedly go up and down. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer (ourisman Chevrolet in alexandria, va) and the manufacturer were notified, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V719000 (steering). The failure mileage was 89,000.
