The vehicles dash board cracked near the air bag. There is sharp plastic around the air bag that may create a safety issue.

GM refused to acknowledge thousands of consumers having the same effects to their dashboard. 3. timing chain went off time and bent a cylinder which caused serious damage 9/2014 cost of damages at approximate $4500 GM refused to acknowledge deficiencies. I paid out of pocket the $4500 with no assistance. I also paid $250 for estimates at the GM dealer in kingston mass. They refused to help and give assistance on any of these 3 major safety problems after submitting the dealer bona fide report.

All of sudden my dash on passager side, over air bag show a crack, and as the time went by is cracking even more. I just went to Chevrolet yesterday, to see what could be done, and the first thing I heard was that was very commom, but since I'm out of warranty, that should cost around $ 1300 to be replaced. Since is common, and I was looking on line, they should replace at their cost not ours.

Chrome plating on interior door handles are peeling leaving sharp and jagged edges causing cuts on hand and fingers. Also, interior door panels' retaining clips are popping out causing panels to separate from the door.

I want to add to the known issue with the cracked dashboards on this series of GM trucks. I have a crack just above the passenger side airbag. The second crack is above the gauge panel on the drivers side. My concern is the crack on the passenger side. I fear that if in a crash, the plastic on the dash will fragment and send sharp pieces flying. This is a safety issue.

Chevy Tahoe dash cracked and began breaking apart. Crack above passenger airbag that would likely result in sharp projectiles if airbag deployed. Crack also occurred above instrument cluster. Dash was replaced in January 2012 and then cracked and had to be replaced again approx. 1.5 years later in 2013. This is a major defect. A google search of Chevy Tahoe/Suburban cracked dash will illustrate the extent of this defect.

Chrome peeling off of driver interior door handle sliced finger of driver while actuating the door handle to exit the vehicle. Minor injury treated with out-patient care. Upon detailed inspection, both interior front door handles exhibit same characteristic of sharp, peeling chrome on the top of the handle. Chevrolet dealer advised that Chevrolet was aware of issue but offered no remedy to the cause.

Gas mileage on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe is much worse than the advertised 21mpg. I am lucky if I get 13mpg on regular gasoline. Don't get me started on the E85 scam - less mpg and only $0.30 cheaper than regular gasoline? the dealer scammed me into believing it was an apples to apples comparison of E85 and gas.

I leased a 2007 Tahoe in June 2006. After about 10K or 15K I began to hear alot of noise when turning left or right. I asked the Tahoe dealership to check it out and they stated it was not a problem. Months later the problem continued to get worse an louder. Same dealership states it not a problem. The clicking, squealing noise have gotten worse. Third time same dealership states there's nothing wrong. May 21, 2008, I go to a different dealership for a service and because all my friends say there has to be something wrong. I was told that it is a known problems with GM model, I.e., Tahoe Yukon suburbuns. The intermediate shaft that is installed wears out, and has to be replaced, in models dating back to 98 at least. He states I would have to pay for repair. I researched an found that hundreds of complaints and forums about the very problem but there is no recall about. They have been using the same shaft for years and now have improved part that consumers have to pay for out of their pockets. How can they knowlingly place bad parts in vehicles and not be responsible for repairing. I was told that unless they had a new for the intermediate shaft it would have to be replaced every 10K miles.

At 3700 miles noticed front tires were feathering. After visiting dealer and questioning they asked if I had tires rotated? I explained the mileage on the vehicle was too low so they suggested rotating and coming back. Also, window trim on 2 rear windows coming off since first day of ownership, recently been told this is a recall and a known problem.
