Upon inspection of the dashboard it has cracked both above the steering wheel on the left side and at the corner of the airbag on the passenger side. I am concerned that if this cracks any worse the airbag may deploy and injure a passenger or it may cause the steering column to malfunction if the dashboard falls. Chevy should be recalling this so that no one is injured.

There cracks on my dash...after looking around the internet, this a big problem..I called GM, and the rep told me that they where not going to fix it at this time so I asked when will a good time be. They refused to fix it and my vehicle is still under warranty.if this air bag deploys it is going to cause some serious damage or death to someone, this needs to be a mandatory recall.

I have two problems to report first my gas pedal sticks to floor if I turn my floor mat upside down when my shoes are dirty gas pedal catches and sticks to floor under acceleration very scary and unsafe. Second problem is my dash cracked above my passenger air bag and I am afraid if it deploys the broken dash will come off with air bag and hit passenger in face causing injury or worse. I have read online of many other same year and vehicle with the same problems and would apriciate you looking into these before someone is injured thank you.

The contact was injured and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was available. The dealer picked up the vehicle days later and repaired the body damage but did not diagnose the air bag failure. The vehicle was left at the contact's residence by the dealer. The manufacturer was contacted and she was awaiting a decision in regards to the air bag failure. The dealer advised bringing the vehicle in for further diagnostic testing. The contact filed a service claim with General Motors two months ago and they continue to replace parts, but the air bag light illuminates intermittently. The failure mileage was 100 and current mileage was 35,871.

I just bought a used Chevrolet Tahoe from a dealership and unfortunately the vehicle mileage is over 36,000 miles but is only a year old. Here is my complaint. My airbag service light came on while driving from Texas to Nevada and does not shut off. The dealership said they do not cover this anymore since it is out of warranty and I would have to pay for parts and labor for servicing the air bag system. I do not believe the air bag system coverage should be connected with mileage. The vehicle is only a year old and it is already giving me an airbag servicing light. Why can't General Motors fix this at their expense? Chevy Tahoe 2007.
