Takata recall - nothing has happened but notice in May 2016. Dealer says they can't get parts from GM.

I the airbag light comes on from time to time while I am driving my Tahoe and I am worried that it may be faulty and if I were to be involved in a accident it will not work or worse cause serious injury or death to me, the driver, as the lawsuit states that it May.

Takata recall: Received notice in 2016 concerning the recall of the takata airbags. The notice came from GM. Since the initial letter, I have received no follow up on the recall. Now I have received a notice of a lawsuit involving takata. They still have not replaced the airbags and have not had any communication from GM. About replacing the airbags.

Takata recall - I have been checking on this for a year and a remedy is still not available. I was involved in an accident April 10 2017 and the Tahoe sustained significant front and rear damage while stationary. I was hit from behind by a large truck and was then pushed into the car in front of me. No airbags deployed.

After long term exposure in hot and humid weather, the propellant degrades to a certain level and the inflators may rupture during deployment, causing serious or fatal injuries. For me, this is a battle for my life and it would put my family in jeopardy of theirs.

The dash board O the vehicle is cracking all around the takata recall airbags. The cracks are spidering across the dash, there are so may complaints with this dash board cracking and it is a safety issue if the airbags go off the dash board is likely to shatter and potentially be a projectile causing injury or death. This should be invesitigated and be a recall. You will find thousands of vehicle have this problem, GM is aware and its all over facebook and online. Takata recall GM was granted a petition for deferral to investigate airbags on my 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. Per GM's own website his petition expired in September 2017. As of today 26 October 2017, GM has apparently not taken action on this issue.

Takata recall no one can answer my questions. Case reference: NHTSA 1153284 1. GM had 2+ years to investigate the airbag they put in my vehicle. My question is: Why NHTSA would allow them a time extension until the end of the year 2017. Their time to investigate was granted an extension by NHTSA as per my call to NHTSA 2. as the air bag on my car has never been deployed in the 10 years of ownership (contains original airbags installed in the GM janesville wi plant, never touched internally as the steering wheel has not been removed or the dashboard taken apart ). my question is: The tk holdings card states: "if your vehicle contains a defective or potentially defective airbag inflator and is under recall, contact your nearest dealership immediately to schedule a free repair." When dealer was contacted, he is still waiting for GM to finish the investigation and can not replace the airbag under the recall. Which is true? will results happen before the December 27, 2017 date where I may be able to include myself as a "will suffer" (as I do not know the outcome of a accidental incident in advance of your 12/27/17 date to file a claim). Observation: This sounds like the classic case of the governmental left hand not knowing what the governmental right hand is doing! attention NHTSA: I think someone should call me as to completion of the recall that GM is dragging their feet over. 724-654-0270 no response to my inquiry confirms to me that you are just as much at fault as GM or takata in the perpetuation of this recall and/or investigation.
