Tahoe

Tahoe 2015 ls transmission is slipping into neutral during acceleration from a stop sign/light after cycling through 1st and 2nd gear. SUV will slow down in traffic. It also auto shift into park like condition at traffic light and would not move forward. I had to place the shift lever into park and then back to drive to get the transmission to engage. It also kick hard when engaged. The SUV only has 5089 miles on it. I bought this SUV new from reliable Chevrolet in richardson, tx. Today the problem got worse. It now would not engage when I put it into reverse. I had to push the gas peddle more to increase the RPM to get the transmission to kick in. It then kick hard into reverse. I brought this SUV to my dealership to get it fix. They said they found nothing and return this SUV back to me. I have another major stop and no go transmission issue again today Feb 8, 2016. This time I have my teenage son with me and this really upset me. Someone could have hit me from behind since the road was a downhill run with a stop light. I am bringing it back to my reliable Chevrolet dealer in richardson, tx tomorrow Feb 9, 2016 and demand then to fix it. I am now afraid to drive my new truck. If the electronics of the transmission tells the mechanical parts to go into park position while cruising down the street, this will be a very bad outcome. Please tell mary barra to keep her promise no more crap car. This problem is going to hurt someone.

Last night vehicle start jerking and when accelerating it would hesitate then take of and there was a sound in the transmission. The next morning which is today when I went to drive there was a error message that said 4 wheel drive. When I went to take of the vehicle would go in and out of 4 wheel drive by itself. This continued all day and feel the vehicle is not safe because when it erratically goes into 4 wheel drive at normal speed the steering was compromised. I will take it to dealer Monday..

The new 2015 Tahoe have a push button ignition. I pushed off the ignition with the car in drive (forgot to put in park), exited the vehicle and realized the car was rolling down the hill. I quickly jumped in and applied the brakes to stop the car. I was surprised that even though the car is in drive when the car's ignition is turned off, the transmission disengages and the car is in neutral! this is a big hazard. There should either be a fail safe and not allow the car to turn off in drive or automatically place the car in park when the ignition switch is pressed. (this is what happens on a recent model Mercedes.)

4th and most dangerous of 4 incidents in 3 weeks of ownership of 2015 Chevy Tahoe lt. Without driver instruction or interference the 2015 Tahoe shifted itself into 4WD despite dial on 2wd. Steering difficult, car jerked, engine revved differently and trouble in reverse. No warning signals on display and I didn't know what was happening. Drove.5 mi., pulled over restarted, and then "4 wheel drive, dismiss" on display over steering wheel (no seat vibration, flashing lights as with lane drifting). Tried to "undismiss", consulted manual and ensured dial was in 2wd. Cut ignition off, restarted, same light. Test drove another 1 mi. To see if warning display malfunction...car jerked and steering as if non-power steering. Called dealership (rick hendrick's city Chevrolet, charlotte, nc) and svs tech had never heard of such an issue and consulted other techs (on hold 15 min). Finally svs mgr said car unsafe to drive but to drive it home 'slowly" and they would tow to dealership and get me a loaner. Svs mgr, on 3rd phone call after I threatened to notify ntsb, said he was calling a GM "program mgr" to see about my car's "dangerous issue". after the car rolled when ignition turned off (radio and dash lights off too) and it hit a dumpster B/C we had not put it in park, yet ignition still turned off (luckily no one hurt but significant paint damage), key fob wouldn't program seats/mirrors, mylink wouldn't pair to my phone and now to learn there is a recall for rolling B/C car shifts into neutral? I am still driving loaner, no word from svs mgr, I refuse to drive the car again and gsm said I'd have to go to GM direct for a "buy back". the 1-800-222-1020# he gave me useless). Help!
