I struck what appeared to be a small piece of debris on the interstate. I found out an hour later that it punctured my fuel tank. Unfortunately I did not find out about the leak until the parking garage I parked in for that 1 hour was closed by the fire department due to my leak. How can a sport utility vehicle have a plastic gas tank and no skid plate for protection" the gas tank is on "back order" from GM. Is there a problem with this set up"
