Trailblazer LX

well the gauges on my driving panel went out one by one and then all at once. When I first went to the dealership to have it repaired I was told it would cost $800.00 to have the panel replace, i left and came back in about three months new price $625.00 to replace it now after another two monts of waiting i am down to $425.00 to have it repaired. Why is a tune up costing $700.00 to be done there is nothing i seen that would merit that to my knowledge.

Just another one of us with the gauges acting up. I have only experienced the fuel gauge and the speedometer thus far. Fuel gauge I can handle by resetting the trip odometer every fill up but the speedo is a real pain. Today it said I was going over 120mph on the way to work, felt like 50-55. I am calling gm to see if they'll throw me a bone on the repair. I spoke to a few mechanic friends and the say that replacing the cluster will solve the problem but like most of us I dont have 500-600 bucks laying around that I'd want to spend on there screw up

Trailblazer LS 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

I had a faulty speedometer. It was possessed, giving whatever speed it wanted. i aveaged my speed by the tachometer. However after getting a speeding ticket i took it to the dealer and they said it was covered under service recalls but my milage was over the limit and i would have to pay the labor of $200.00 ok i paid for labor but upon receiving the vehicle back the radio doesn't work. they now tell me that the radio isn't covered under warranty. i then took the vehicle to a radio insaller and they told me that it was the onstar interface and that it would cost me $200.00 to fix the problem.

i decided after negative feedback from the dealership that i would take them to small claims court for the out-of-packet expense. they are now backing down from the repair and telling me that its not covered and i would have to pay them for the speedometer assembly over $800.00 including labor. ever wonder why everyone buys japanese. chevrolet is screwing with the little guy, they should never have gotten any bailout money

OMG!!! Ok, I'm engaged, but he's gone alot so I'm pretty much on my own...with this stupid axx car!!! I'm on my way to work...55mph, right? Hell no! It says I'm doing 125!!! WTF??? There is no way in hell I was going this fast! I like my job, but I didn't want to get there with the quickness!!! So, I slow down, because now I don't know how fast I'm going! I've been late 3 times this week! Then my radio goes out! I was rockin' to STP in stereo...then I swear I was listening to a transistor radio on crack! So, now it takes me forever to get to work with nothing to listen to, but my thoughts on how much I hate this stupid car!!! Chevy dealer guys said it'll cost over $600 to BUY the part! WTF??? How much to fix the friggen thing then?!?!? It's because I'm a girl, huh? Oh & half the dash lights & the cigarette lighter thingy don't work either!!! & my gas-o-meter is possessed!!! It CHOOSES just how much gas it wants me to have!!! I'm gonna chunk this damn car off a cliff...if this town had a cliff...lol

Trailblazer LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

For 3 years now my 2004 Trailblazer instrument panel cluster goes in and out where some days it works and some days it doesn't so I have to guess on gas in tank and other readings. I complained to the dealership, no help there. I wrote to Chevrolet and no help there. I am unable to afford the expense to repair it and was just hoping this would be a recall at some point since it has happened to a lot of Trailblazer vehicles.

I also have a 2004 Trailblazer that the gauges stopped working. It started out with miss-reading the speed, as in reading higher than the actual speed. like going 120 mph when really going 25 mph. Now it is currently stuck with the needle pointing straight at neutral. Then just last week. My low fuel light came on. The next time I started the truck it was up to 1/2 a tank and as I drove it went to 3/4 then 10 miles later it slowly dropped back to 1/4 then the light came on again and then back to a 1/4 of tank. This is an on going problem with these trucks. I know 3 other people with Trailblazers and 2 of them are having the same problem. The dealership told me it would run about $850 to fix and needless to say it has not been. They are off their brains. This needs to be a recall.

Trailblazer LS EXT 4.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

The odometer just stays stuck on whatever mileage the car was at prior to stopping. The odometer has stopped below the zero and has stayed there. The odometer has stopped on the 120 mark and has stayed stuck. the odometer has stopped on the center of the dash below the 120 near the digital mileage window. It is very frustrating because when you are on the highway you do not know what mileage you are going at and the last thing you want is a State Trooper to stop you because you are speeding and your odometer is registering 15 miles per hour.
