The headlights will dim when driving the vehicle. This can occur when idling but mostly happens when the vehicle is at highway speed. This has happened several times and two different dealers have checked the problem and performed all applicable tsbs and replaced the BCM with no difference in the problem. The lights will dim enough that when driving on dark country roads I am not able to identify the edges of the road. Tech support claims this is normal operation of the system.

2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer's headlights flickered on and off. * sometimes the flickering last for a few seconds other times it has lasted up to 10 min. The dealer was able to duplicate the problem but stated there was a tsb from Chevrolet which stated the flickering was normal. Therefore there were no repairs attempted. The brakes pulsated due to rust on the rotors.

2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer - vehicle headlights intermittently flicker while operating. Condition exists every time the vehicle is operated resulting in a safety hazard to both the driver, occupants and other motorists. Chevrolet representatives have replaced the alternator/generator, air pump and fixed a potential electrical ground with negative results. At this point Chevrolet representatives are stating that this issue can not be fixed and should be accepted as a normal driving characteristic of the vehicle. This is a safety concern.

While driving my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer the headlights go out momentarily and I also notice a flickering on the dash lights. This normally happens within the first 5 minutes of driving and continues for the 15 minute commute. So far I only notice this happening at night. I normally drive about 10 miles each way to work. I work 12 hour shifts both days and nights. As a result, I tend to have to drive to work and home in the dark. I am worried that the system will totally fail. Furthermore, when I am driving behind people and the headlights keep flashing at them it causes me to worry that their attention is now focused on my headlights instead of the road. The first time it happened I had my radio, rear-defrost and headlights on. I also noticed that the battery/charging gauge drops below 10V when this happens. However, the same condition has been repeated with only the necessary equipment running. For example, headlights, taillights, and dash lights, all other equipment off. I currently have been doing a some reading on-line and have found that many people who own the 2005 Trailblazer have experienced the same problems with their headlights. I have not replaced any parts yet. The vehicle is under warranty until 36K; the vehicle currently has 24K miles.

2005 Chevy Trailblazer, headlights and interior lights dim and flash for no reason while driving (looks like a christmas tree). If I stop and shut the vehicle off, and restart, it stops. See several people having the same issue when I search on-line. Dealer claims they can find no error codes.

: the contact stated the taillights stopped working. The dealership repaired the taillights under warranty. Within three months, the low beam light stopped working. The contact is concerned there may be some unsafe electrical problems with the vehicle.
- Madeira, OH, USA
: the contact stated while driving at night, the headlights dim and flicker on and off. This occurred intermittently without warning. The front passenger power window rubs against the door frame and intermittently fails to close. The dealership replaced the alternator; however no further inspections have been made. The manufacturer has been alerted.

One week after purchasing my new vehicle, I drove at night. While driving, my headlights went dim upon deceleration. I took it back to the dealer to have it fixed. They said they cannot duplicate the problem and could not fix it. Now, I am taking it back again and having them drive it at night. This is a safety issue that I am not willing to live with and want it fixed.
- Cambridge, OH, USA
: the contact stated the head lamps flicker from bright to dim automatically while driving at nighttime. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership for inspection. The local dealership personnel determined the head lamps were flickering. However, until the manufacturer had a solution to the problem, the dealership could not perform any repairs. Headlights flickering completely off and on in the dark and daylight hours as well as completely quitting. Had it to dealership 2 times for this matter and they could not find the cause of the problem. I felt it was a hazard driving it this way being. It also happened at night. This started in November/December 2005. Haven't had it a year yet and already the driveshaft has been replaced. Is this a lemon ?

While driving at night upon decelerating and braking headlights and gauges flickered on and off. This has happened numerous times. However, it does not occur every night. I have been pulled over 2 times by police officers in the last 3 months.
