When driving over 70mph on the eway, the service traction control and service stabilitrak comes on. After driving like that for a few minutes the car starts jerking and reduces speed! I have taken it to a Chevy dealership and also midas and they tell me there is nothing they can see. This is very dangerous driving in the eway with my children.

My car decided recently to start acting weird and the engine power went low and traction control went off and then my car would barely run. It says it could be the throttle body. It had done it twice since Saturday and starts running ok afterwards but want to see what's wrong and why it just started doing this. Never had any trouble till then.

I recently had my 2014 Chevy Traverse in to my mechanic for maintenance, as I do when needed. After maintenance was performed, I picked my vehicle up and it drove just fine for five maybe ten miles, no issues. I was on the highway and suddenly the "service stabilitrak", "traction control off", and "service traction control" messages began flashing. Immediately after, my vehicle began jerking profusely as I was driving - it slowed the speed, and eventually quit. The messages were still there. A few more miles down the road, it began jerking again. I don't know what is going on with it but I took it back to my mechanic and he's had it since then (this was days ago) and he's having a hard time pinpointing the issue. However, I see many other Traverse owners whom are experiencing the same dangerous issue, with no resolve. My vehicle has up to this point been reliable and I thought safe, however, this issue is not safe. I have a job that I need to get back and forth from and two small children that I need to Transport safely. This issue with my Traverse is beyond dangerous. My Traverse has 85,000 miles on it. Really disappointed.

On February 14 2019, I went outside to warm up my car. 10 minutes later while the car was still parked the whole engine was engulfed in flames. Fire department was called to put out the fire. No recent work had been done to the vehicle. The only work ever done in the 4 years I owned it were, new tires, new battery (in the back seat) and oil changes.

Three months ago, the back moon roof made a loud bang and shattered while driving down the highway at approximately 50 miles per hour. There was no impact to the moon roof or other vehicles in the area. We had it replaced at a local Chevrolet dealer. This morning on my way to work, the same thing happened to the moon roof that had been replaced. I was driving at approximately 70 miles per hour with no other vehicles around me.

Causing me to apply brakes whether I am traveling at 35 mph, 45, 55, 60, 70, even in a school zone at 15 mph. Also, I have concerns about the driver seat,

The check engine light keeps coming on, but no problem can be found by the dealership. The transmission keeps "jerking" or it even feels like it is falling out. I've read that it can take a while for the vehicle to "learn" how you drive, but this doesn't feel right. Almost too scared to drive. I was stopped at a stop light and my vehicle stalled (I didn't realize this until I tried to go at a green light) and wouldn't move...even when I didn't have it in park. I had to turn it off and on twice before my vehicle would move. I've had electrical problems with the vehicle as well. It's only a 2014. This should not be happening!

I was driving on the interstate going 65 mph and the vehicle suddenly loss power then completely shut offf. It displays several messages saying loss engine power, loss of traction control. Once I got the Traverse to the median, it restarted and sounded like a very old pick up truck. I restarted it again and it sounded normal. I called for a tow truck, that towed it directly to the dealership. They kept it two days and said they couldn't duplicate the problem and charged me $100 diagnostic fee. This happen 2 more times after this on the interstate (65mph again) and while I was parking in a parking lot (2 mph) again, it was sent to the dealership and they stated the same thing...couldn't duplicate the problem. Note, it was sent to 2 separate Chevy dealership in different counties. I contacted General Motors and they have not issued a recall, any advice on how to fix this or any compensation. Simply gave me a case number.

Slightly in motion about 5 mph and sometimes around 50 mph, the dic will reset within a split second, the radio will cutoff and all dashboard signs will come on momentarily like a reset. This is a possible electrical issue due to faulty ignition switch, faulty engine control module, ignition switch harness shorted or even poor electrical connection causing voltage difference

Traverse

3 instances, same pattern at 2000, 19000, and 31,000 miles. While in motion, there is a sounding of warning from the dashboard, followed by a loss of vehicle acceleration. Dashboard reads "service stabilitrak, traction control off, and engine power is reduced." The vehicle then cannot seem to accelerate more than 10-15 mph. After time, or in this case the tow to the dealership, the problem ceases. The dealerships have all questioned the legitimacy of the instance, claiming they can find no repeat and referencing "carbon build-up." The most recent event was in the middle of a busy freeway with children in the car. It was very frightening and dangerous.

The service stabilitrac; traction control is off, park assist is off, and check engine light along with ebs warning lights all come on along with loss of power; the car won't go over 25. This has happened several times; the first time it was wet, along with happening several other times when it was wet; then it happened last week when it was completely dry as I got off the interstate in heavy traffic; with the accelerator to the floor it would only go aprox 15-20 mph, along with all the lights once again coming on. The dealer did not document the first time we took it in for this problem, the just told us they had no idea what it could be unless they could see it happening. Unfortunately it resets itself usually after being turned off for a while and it does not happen on a predictable way there is no warning it just happens. The 2nd time we took it in they only documented that it was a forward & reverse problem; the only part of that that's true is that the 1st time it happened it was after I stopped then it would only go in reverse for about 20mins then it was fine the check engine light stayed on until they shut it off. The last time it happen the dealer wanted me to pay them a $95 diagnostic fee before they would even look at it. This is a safety hazard; if this problem would get fixed I love my car; but as it stands I'm afraid I'm gonna end up in an accident; I am seriously considering trading it in on a safer vehicle, even though I haven't had it quite 2 yrs yet. I have contacted Chevy via the internet to express my concerns; they just took my info and the problem and said the would research what was going on; I still haven't heard from them & that was over a week ago.

I was doing about 50 mph on expressway and car started to slow down with lots of jerking. Then an engine light came on, off, on, off, on, off (many times) and said something about traction control / stability bar (??). at this point I had no control of my speed/jerking movements (speed dwindled down). (road conditions were good, no rain or bad weather, no curves, no hills - straight stretch of road) it lasted for about a minute or two. Next it was ok. I took it in to the dealership and they could not find anything. Then it happened again a few weeks after that - out of state - going down interstate - same thing, (road conditions perfect) lasted a little longer this time. Brought it to the dealership after we had gotten back home - it (shop's computer) showed that a light had come on - but it did not record any information. This is a scary situation.
