Check air bag light came on briefly. Dealer said they couldn't find a code in the system showing that it had come one. Then as I'm driving with my kids in the car, the traction light comes on randomly, it starts wanting to turn off on itself. Mind you I'm on a very busy street with morons going over 60 mph behind me. It could have been a major accident! I went to advance auto cause I thought maybe it was my battery, even though its a brand new car. No. it wasn't they tested it and everything. So I called the dealer and they took it in for a day to then tell me that it is showing battery codes. I had just checked the battery the day before! so I knew it wasn't that, but they wouldn't do anything about it. So to play it safe, I bought a new battery. I had the place I bought the new one from test my old battery and big shocker the test came back as a good battery. So I spent the money for a unnecessary battery. A month goes by and nothing happens. Then about 2-3 weeks ago my screen starts complaining about "disk error" the dvd system isn't even on, and I'm not playing music on it either so it shouldn't be showing me "disk error" even if there was a disk in it. The [xxx] thing was off! and yesterday my husband goes to drive the car and it starts acting crazy again wanting to turn off on itself. So I'm done. It's a hazard to my family to own this car. Also, I heard from an acquaintance that owns the same car but an older model that this was happening to her vehicle too, and that it was covered under a recall but because ours is newer it isn't covered. So we got screwed with this vehicle. Thanks GM. In early February 2018 I was in a head on collision where I was traveling over 30 miles an hour and the vehicle that hit me head on was traveling in the over 50 miles an hour. The airbags did not deploy. My vehicle was totaled.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. While attempting to make a right turn into a parking space, the contact was uncertain if the vehicle independently accelerated or if she depressed the accelerator pedal. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a building. The front driver's side of the vehicle was damaged. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact was not injured; however, unknown injuries were sustained to an individual who was trapped inside the building due to the crash. The individual required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,800. The consumer stated the brakes were firmly applied when the motor revved up and went into the building.

My vehicle whether stationary or in motion routinely does not chime for a passanger or driver without a seatbelt. The light does come on but it will only chime 10% of the time. I am not having issues with it chiming when there is not a person is in the seat. I am concerned this is a life safety issue with my vehicle since if I am driving and my passanger takes off there seatbelt it does not alert me with sounds. It also does not alert me woth sound if I myself forget to apply my seatbelt. I have called and spoken to the dealership and taken my vehicle in multiple times. One of the service people have heard this issue occur where it would chime sometimes when he did not have his seatbelt on and other times it would not. I am concerned that the airbags may not function correctly if the seatbelt and weight sensor for the passanger and driver are not functioning properly. I have been advised that it is not an issue per the dealership and to me it is as I have never had a car not chime notifying you that the seatbelts are not fasened. The dealership did take the same type of vehicle off there lot to test in a different car and that vehicle never chimed for the lack of a fastened seatbelt. I first noticed this when my vehicle was at 500 miles and it is now over 5000 and still not resolved.
