On June 12, 2022, after stopping for gas, my car did not want to start back up. I put my foot on the brake and pushed the start/stop button, but the engine struggled to come on. It did a similar thing a week before, but on that time when I pushed the button to start the car, all of my lights came on and my radio, but my air conditioner delayed in coming on. When I put the car in drive to go, nothing happened and I realized the engine never started. I pushed the start/stop button again and everything shut off and then back on and I was able to drive. For almost a year now, I have had issues with the auto stop feature when I'm at a stop light/sign. When I try to take off again, it delays on letting me move. This is also when my car will jerk or jolt as I start to drive. I took it to the dealership to look at the problem and was told there may be something with the fuel system. All they did was flush the system, but the problem didn't stop. I am seeing reports online of similar things happening to other 2019 Traverse owners. This concerns me because what happens when my car decides not to start again and I'm in a busy area" What happens when my family is with me and it doesn't want to go or it shuts off at a stop sign or light and we're in crash" I am making an appointment with another dealership, but with how many other drivers seem to be having problems, this seems to be a manufacturer issue and needs to be taken care of by them.

First Issue: 09/28/2019- Robert Chevrolet/Hicksville- Car got shut off on middle of old country road- Car needs to be towed to Nearest Chevy dealer and Generator and battery was replaced-Generator caused battery to fail- There was no rental car given since I was told that service center didn-??t belong to me- If I had brought to dealership in Douglaston then I would be able to get a loaner car. Same issue Second time: 2/10/2022 Car got shut off in middle of Northern Blvd. right near service center- My whole car dashboard and signal went blank while taking exist and I was not able to use signals indicator at all- My car got completely shut off in few minutes after shutting off dashboard. I almost got into an accident due to car slowed down and shut off completely in busiest main street. Car drivers behind me started cursing and honking and screaming because I even couldn-??t start emergency flashing light. I was able to borrow orange cone from local service guy and put it behind my car since I couldn-??t use emergency indicator. I was told $1350 including tax is out of pocket cost (Alternator/Battery)- I was within 3 year leasing period but due to its out of warranty for mileage limit for about over 4000 mileage. GM was involved and took percentage of and I still ended up paying $816. I am asking why within three year my battery and generator will go bad?

My vehicle is not registering whenever it is put into park. The dashboard keeps signaling that it needs to be shifted into park when it already is and refuses to turn the vehicle off because it-??s not registering that it did is in park. Upon researching the issue, I found that this is a common problem due to defective parts and once fixed by the dealership people have reported having the same problem within the next few thousand miles. This same issue is happening with different models of gm vehicles as well and I believe due to the widespread and common occurrence of this specific related issue that there needs to be a recall to have the problem resolved. I am unable to even drive my vehicle due to this. I can not turn my vehicle completely off which drains the battery.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to turn off after the vehicle was shifted to PARK. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was contacted and an appointment was scheduled however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000.

Unknown what component is failing. When honking the horn, the radio station changes. It is available upon inspection. When the station changes to another station, at times the new station is a lot louder than the original station. This is distracting and causes the driver to look at the Entertainment Center and away from the road. This puts everyone in the vehicle at risk for an accident. Other drivers or pedestrians are risk for the same reason. The vehicle has been inspected several times by the dealership that sold us the vehicle who said they could not reproduce the error. No warnings appeared before nor as the error happens. This appeared within the first year of ownership.

Intermittently after I put the Trans. in park and shut off the engine I get a message to shift trans. to park. I repeat the process of starting and stopping engine and shifting in and out of park several more times. I can't leave the vehicle until the message stops appearing. If I get out and shut the door the radio keeps playing and doors will not automatically lock. I'm concerned that I have an electrical short and might catch fire. I park in a garage at home and could lose my home or life if it caught fire I have an appointment with my dealer 2/7/2022. As of this date I have not reported the issue to anyone. The problem started just before Christmas and stopped for several weeks and now it's back again. There are no pre-warnings before the issue occurs.

When I put the car in PARK, turn the vehicle off, with my foot on the brake; the dashboard relentlessly signals to put the vehicle in Park. It will not stop this notice until I stop/start the car a few times or repeatedly press the gear shift lever. It happens intermittently, but at least 3-4 times a week. As a woman, the idea of going shopping and coming out to a dead car battery from this problem is always in the front in my mind and some stranger -??helping-?? me, instead mugs me. I am terrified that it will cause an electrical fire under my carport and burn my house down with us inside. I haven-??t had my Premiere long and absolutely love it and I have been a Chevy fan for years, but I have always felt Chevrolet took care of their customers. Is it going to take a terrible loss for these Traverse to be recalled?

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that upon placing the vehicle into PARK, the shift to park warning message would appear on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, the contact had to readjust the gear shifter or restart the vehicle to correct the failure; however, those options do not correct the failure every time. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and informed her that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

I kept getting a shift to park error. The dealership diagnosed it as a problem with the gear shift wiring harness. It was a few thousand miles passed warranty so I had to pay about $300 out of pocket for it. It's been less than 2 weeks since it was "fixed" and I am now having the same issue.

Intermittent "Action Required" alert on the display to "Shift to Park" after already shifting into park and turning off the car. Sometimes after jiggling the gearshift it will stop. Sometimes have to turn the car back on and shift into reverse and park again. Sometimes have to do this several times. Appears, after research online, this is a known issue under TSB 19-NA-206, September 2019. I have scheduled to take to the dealership for inspection. But it also sounds like the recommended repair is only a band-aid that will require a further repair.

On Thursday 9/9/21, I found my car's alarm going off while parked in a parking lot. I was able to silence the alarm and enter the vehicle and turn it on. As I was driving toward the exit of the parking lot the windshield wipers went on, on their own and I was unable to turn them off. Then I lost control of my steering, several warnings and alerts went off on the dashboard and the car powered off in the middle of the road without any warning. Shortly after was able to turn the car on again and reverse and get it into a spot in the parking lot where again I lost steering, several alerts came on the dashboard and the car powered down again. I had my two young children in the car and we could have been hit, if this occurred on a highway this could have been deadly! I was able to start the car again, drove it around the parking lot safely for a few minutes and then the incident occurred a third time in the exit lane of the parking lot. We called for a tow truck. The car would not turn on again for several hours. When it did turn on it was moved to a safe location where it powered off spontaneously a 4th time. When the car was picked up by the tow truck the following morning the car alarm was going off again and the doors were locking and unlocking spontaneously on their own. Onstar sent a diagnostic report indicating an issue with the Engine and Transmission System. The vehicle was towed to Millenium Chevrolet in Hempstead. They were not able to check the car until Monday 9/13/21. They replaced the battery, but were unable to identify the source of the problem. After the battery was replaced, we were alerted that the horn was not working and the doors were locking and unlocking spontaneously.

Purchased 3/1/2019 problems since 4/18/2019 electrical system malfunctioning. Remote left in vehicle warning when no key in vehicle, rear view mirror overheating (over 110*) cellphone charging port overheating, blind spot detection malfunctioning, forward collision detection malfunctioning, navigation and iphone audio connections malfunctioning. Mirror was replaced once. Rear camera was replaced twice. This was after a GM service person was sent down to rotolo to look into it. Since then nothing has been repaired. Service reps keep saying they can't get it to duplicate the problems. We have video and photos of issues. Matt wolf was the GM investigator. He never returns calls/emails. Yesterday after several phone calls to different GM departments, I was informed he no longer works with the company. The last thing I was told was to wait for a call to bring the vehicle into rotolo so another GM service person would be sent. That was over 2 months ago. Since no one has called I scheduled another service for sat. Vehicle cannot be driven and has to sit parked. It is unsafe to drive. Problems ongoing since 4/2019.
