Getting -??shift to park-?? message repeatedly when car is IN park. Sometimes can short term fix with go back to drive and then shifting to park again. Worried this will drain battery or cause car to roll out of driveway if it-??s not reading that it-??s in park.

When the vehicle is in park and turned off, will receive shift to park errors. have to turn the car back on and off multiple times and reput the car to park to get the code off. The vehicle will not turn off with shift to park message. This is a huge safety issue

I get a -??shift to park-?? message after I have turned my car off even though it is in park. The warning does not shut off so I have to remain in my car and turn the car on/off and switch it into gear and out of gear in an attempt to get the warning to stop. At times, I have had to leave the parking spot and drive around more then park again to get the warning to stop. My car is three years old. This should NOT be happening on a three year old car. My car not recognizing what gear it-??s in certainly isn-??t safe.

After shifting my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse into park, an -??Action Required-?? message appears on the dash that says, -??Shift to Park-??. But, the car is already in park. Due to this action required message the car will not properly shut off.The only way I am able to shut the car off is by restarting it and shifting into reverse or drive, back to park. Sometimes it takes up to six times of going through this process to get the car to shut off. This issue has been going on for over a month. I arrived at the dealership for a scheduled oil change and the car did the same as I parked in their garage. I had a tech come out to see what was going on. He told me that Chevrolet was aware that this was happening in at least 4 models, including my Traverse. He immediately knew what the fix was. It was explained to me that there was a bulletin, but not a recall for this issue. The dealership said they could fix it for $140, and because I was 7,000 out of my bumper to bumper I had no choice but to pay the amount. If Chevrolet knows this is an issue then they should be covering the cost to repair it. It is bulletin #19-NA-206. They installed a SL-N-Switch and an N-Harness. They also removed transmission range selector and removed and replaced wiring harness on the selector to a newer design, that-??s supposed to stop the issue.

We have major paint chipping and peeling issues, the gear selector will not recognize park at times and we have had the catalytic converter replaced in the 2.5 years of owning (we are the only owners).

Shift to Park alert and gear parking issue. This is a big issue with GM cars/SUVs after I searched online. Looks like a manufacturer parts-?? defects in gear box.

My vehicle is at 30,738 miles and recently I began smelling what I thought to be exhaust fumes inside the cabin of the vehicle. I also smelled it after the car was parked outside the vehicle, near the the hood of the car near the engine. I took it to the nearest repair shop and they said that the brazing/welding point on the fuel rail was faulty and the fuel injector had broken off and was spraying fuel all underneath the car. It was "two or three turns away from a catastrophic event". the car was had fuel sprayed all near the intake manifold and was getting dangerously close to the exhaust manifold. It was only a matter of time (minutes/hours) before the vehicle caught fire or exploded with the amount of loose fuel present and I have small children in car seats I would never have been able to get out of the car in time. I had the vehicle towed to a Chevy dealership and they replaced the fuel rail and several other parts. And returned the vehicle to me. There were still fuel vapors coming into the cabin of the vehicle and near the hood of the engine. I took it back and the dealership said all of the insulation around/ in the engine was saturated in fuel still. So they washed the insulation and put it back in the vehicle. It still smells like fuel vapors in and around the vehicle.

My vehicle was off, parked and locked. My car was on a somewhat flat surface and rolled into a tree. The same day I was able to drive my car approximately 3 miles from my home, park for approximately 4 hours and return home without keys. I have a police report and photos of the damage of my vehicle.

On June 20, 2019, I bought a 2019 Chevy Traverse with the understanding that the vehicle was in good condition with no defects. On July the 18 we took vehicle to the service department, due to there was a very strong odor when inside the car. It was causing bloody noses and breathing issues for my family. The smell was so strong that it could be tasted. The dealership took about 15 to 20 minutes to diagnose car as nothing wrong with it. We took it home. On August 1, 2019, the vehicle starts going crazy with electrical issues. While my wife is driving with my kids the horn, lights, and emergency lights start turning on and off and there was a loud ugly sound from the engine. The car had to be parked to and I had to go drive car home due the unsafe conditions of vehicle. As I looked under the hood, I could smell a burning smell and smoke coming from the engine. So we took vehicle back to dealership. After being on the shop for about a week, we got our car back and according to dealership it was fixed, along with the smell they told us it was a rare situation but that we had mold and mildew coming out of the ac unit which was causing the odor and hence bloody nose and breathing issues. They also found that the battery was throwing sparks and was burning electrical wires in the engine. At this point we just wanted our car back. The following day my wife and kids were put in a dangerous situation due to defective car, while driving the Traverse it turned off on them while on the highway. My wife and kids are traumatized and scared while being put in these dangerous situations. Unfortunately, your vehicle has not performed well and is not safe even after it was made clear to us that it was safe and fixed.

I was driving vehicle and stopped at light. The car completely cut off. I had to put in park to restart the car. Thats when the engine light came on. Received an advanced diagnosis that stated issue with engine/tranmission service within one day. Took car in 7/16 at 7:30 and got back that day stating that car transmission communication dropped. The very next day 7/17 am, same thing happened. Took the car that afternoon back to dealer and it had been there since. They state they are waiting talk to GMC. Nothing yet.
