Technician may find a current or history Diagnostic Trouble Code C012E and C12FE. Technician should follow Service Information diagnostics for Diagnostic Trouble Code C012E symptom code 00 in the Electronic Brake Control Module or C12FE in the Engine Control Module. If the vehicle has a current or history Diagnostic Trouble Code C012E symptom code 12 without a C012E symptom code 00 in the Electronic Brake Control Module and a C12FE in the Engine Control Module, the code sets due to a powertrain code or a power down issue with the vehicle, this is not related to the brakes. The technician should diagnose other Diagnostic Trouble Codes or issues with the vehicle first.
