This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Code P0442 set. Technician will need to inspect the evaporative emissions purge solenoid pipe for contact damage. Technician will replace the evaporative emissions purge solenoid pipe if found damaged.
