My Chrysler 200 2013 touring stalled on me while coming to a stop at a stop sign I was stuck in a intersection for almost an hour and had to direct traffic around me so I wouldn't get hit. This is not the first time this has happened. This is the 5th time my car has stalled on me and I've only had it for 2 months, stalled twice on busy intersections I could have died. It stalled on me while I was going 55 mph and the lanes were so tight I almost couldn't get to the side of the road without getting hit and when I finally did the lanes were so close that I couldn't park on the side of the road for safety without being terrified someone going to come down the hill and not see me and hit me. Also I was just doing a beach cruise one time and it stalled on me I had to park and wait like a hour and 30 minutes for help. Another time I was doing a right turn onto my house and the engine just shut off so I had to make a wide right turn with barely any steering power could've been a major accident. The car just loses it power and shuts off without any warning. I've gotten a diagnostics and nothing showed wrong with the car, but there is something wrong. I've seen many of the same problems people are having online and the problem is not getting fixed at all. I'm seeing people replace fuel pumps, starters, batteries, alternators and no fix for the stalling just wasting money. Thousands of people online on sites are struggling with this car. People cars are stalling on them and are almost getting them killed. Chrysler is not doing anything to help these people, no recalls on the car and people are taking their cars to the dealership and wasting money because the problem still occurs even after the dealership. Really sad there needs to be something done with these cars my life is in danger and I'm only 19 years. The Chrysler 200 needs to be recalled very dangerous car

Torque converter stopped working properly causing the car to stall while at slow speeds and breaking. This could be in urban and rural settings. Any example of slowing down, stopping, yielding, etc. Upon diagnostics it was found the torque converter needed to be replaced, as well as a pump (which one was not specified by the service E team) starting in early to mid October 2018

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the fuel tank was leaking fuel while receiving a routine oil change. Fuel leaked out underneath the side of the vehicle. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was determined that the vehicle was not safe to drive and that fuel was leaking underneath the vehicle. The dealer was not notified and the vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. When the vehicle was started, the contact detected an odor of raw fuel underneath the dashboard. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to imperial valley Hyundai (634 thomas dr, el centro, ca 92243), but the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure became more intense after a year. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and kept overnight for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. May-4-2018 vehicle started having problems in 2016 with strong odor of raw fuel under the dash on driver side. Smell is prominent when vehicle is started and then diminished after 10 minutes of driving. Problem was reported on 12-27-16 and service advisor did not detect a fuel smell. Ever since I purchased this vehicle in July, 2017, the check engine light keeps coming on with the message "gascap" showing on the odometer. I have taken it to be checked numerous times, and no one can figure out what the problem is. I've also replaced the gascap three times. I don't see where the vehicle was brought in in 2013 on the car fax report for fuel tank problem recall. Can you please help me? I never received a recall notice for this since I just bought the car in 2017.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. On several occasions, while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. While attempting to restart the vehicle, the contact had to wait approximately one hour for it to restart. Additionally, while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the rpms revved, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact had to drive 20 mph or the vehicle would stall without warning. My vehicle will cut off/stall while driving, losing speed control. This has happened more than I can count. On residential street, main highways, and freeways while doing speeds up to 70mph. If I am able to pull over to safety I would attempt to start the vehicle and it would crank but wouldn't turn over. After 2hrs the vehicle would start. I've taken it into several dealerships to be diagnosed and they wouldn't be able to duplicate the issue. The dealership hooked up a tracker and said it was one thing and fixed it and the problem is still happening. First incident was mothers day May 2017

Car acts as if it does want to accelerate. Makes a thumping jerking motion will driving. It'seems most noticeable while interstate driving hard hesitation trying time accelerate. Since purchased in September 2012 always drives sluggish on city highway; thumping was noticeable-chased it up to learning a new vehicle. Thumbing getting harder and frequent....like fast "thump jerk, thumb jerking, thump jerk"-. I always have plenty of gas. It happens with 87 or 89 octane.

Car would not start. The lights worked, aaa came and checked plugs other things under the hood and reset the fuel pump button. It stil would not start. They towed it to a repair shop, who put a new fuel pump in. Exactly 30 days later, the same thing happened. A different tow truck driver came, tried the same things and towed it to the shop. Shop owners said it is starting fine; but wanted to keep it over the weekend to try to figure out what is happening. While this did occur after the car had been sitting for a few hours, I am concerned that it will happen on the road. The first time it happened, I was at the emergency room at the hospital, and it had been sitting in the parking lot for about three hours. Last week, it just did not start one morning. The night before, I was driving with a friend in the car, and I told her something didn't sound right- but I kept driving. There is a clicking noise that seems to be coming from the ac/heater vents that may be unrelated. The first incident was 6/20/17 and the second on 7/20/17.

The car keeps stalling in traffic, get an engine jump then stalls. Chryslers techs can't even figure it out. Also stalls on freeways and is going to get someone killed. From what I see it's happening in these cars from 2012 to 2015 models everywhere. I'm very sick of going to the dealer and paying hundreds of dollars because of course it's always something not covered under warranty, how convenient. Then either right away or a month later the same issue occurs and get worse and worse. This needs to be addressed immediately.

At approximately 41,000 miles, wiring harness to fuel pump shorts out near fuel pump end, causing electrical arcing at fuel components. Entire wiring harness to fuel pump must be replaced due to damage. Overload (fuse box) system failed to mitigate damage. Arcing and fire could have caused further damage or explosion. Vehicle was on a city street when it simply stopped working. Vehicle is currently at putnam Chrysler in burlingame, ca, where it was diagnosed with the defect. Documentation in possession of the dealer.

On approximately 7/14/15, upon accelerating from a stopped position, my Chrysler 200 hesitated on take off. I had to take my foot off the gas pedal and slowly try accelerating again, still with hesitation, but finally taking off. There was slight hesitation as my vehicle was accelerating, then the fuel seemed to catch up. This has occurred several times randomly since 7/14/15. I took my car to the dealership on 7/23/15 as it is still under manufacturers warranty, explained the situation, and they said they found no problems, that "no codes" showed up on the computer. This problem appears to effect the engine, fuel/propulsion system and speed control. I was very concerned each time this happened of being involved in a car accident. I will continue to be concerned until this problems is resolved. I intend to take it back to the dealership for further investigation into this problem.
