I purchaesd a 2015 Chrysler 200 with low miles on it. I have had it for a couple months and it has started shutting off while I am driving (in motion). This is very concerning as I live in a state where we have snowy icy conditions. Most importantly a baby. It has happened a couple of times but like I said I have only had it a couple months. A couple times too many.

A couple of weeks ago my temperature gauge was going up oddly fast and then I would get to alerts simultaneously 'engine temperature hot' and 'service elec. Throttle control' I turn off the car for a few minutes and the gauge would go down. I'm not sure how concerned I should be or if this is a common error.

After vehicle has been driven for a while, the check engine light, traction control, ABS and airbag light comes on and the vehicle loses driving function momentarily and the gas pedal does not move the car for a few seconds. Then I have to press the gas pedal down heavily to get the car to travel at a low speed. The transmission doesn't shift properly and this normally last for a while then stops. A code reader says 'high speed can communication bus' I took it to the dealership and they said that they could not simulate the issue so they couldn't do anything. It normally happens when it is very cold or below freezing outside. Also when it is a hot day the vehicle unlocks it's own doors, starts itself, pops the trunk on it's own when I am nowhere around and the key fob is nowhere near which is dangerous and can cause my car or my belongings to be stolen.

Specific diagnostic information was not disclosed. In addition, the rear shocks were replaced twice. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V392000 (suspension), although the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms listed in the recall campaign. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available. Consumer stated oil was low, vehicle stalled and dealer did something to the module power train. Also, two front end alignments and had to replace 6 tires as well as airbag light stays on. Jumper harnest under the seat needs to be replaced.

On 9/16/18, vehicle died and would not start. After several attempts, it started, then while driving down the road, vehicle lost all electrical power and came to a stop in the middle of traffic. Car was towed to dealer where they trouble shooted for several days trying to reproduce the electrical power failure. They found a services bulletin about electrical connection and replaced wiring harness. Over the next several months I noticed my vehicle felt like the transmission was slipping. As time went on, I realized it wasn't a slipping, but a hard shift. The vehicle would also loose power upon acceleration to merge into traffic or changing lanes. This was very scary, but at times it seemed as if the vehicle might lose complete power and die while in heavy highway speed traffic. On 10/11/2018 while having my vehicle oil changed, I asked the technician to drive the vehicle to confirm what I was feeling with the transmission. The technician agreed that the transmission was in fact not shifting or functioning properly. I obtained a quote to have the transmission serviced. The technician advised have the transmission flushed/serviced might help, but often times flushing can cause symptoms to worsen. I opted to not have the transmission flushed/serviced at that time and planned to take my vehicle into the dealer after the holidays. It is now the the 3rd week in December and just this week the hard shifting and loss of power when the vehicle downshifts to merge into highway speed traffic has worsened significantly. I phoned the Chrysler dealer today and spoke with my service advisor to schedule an appt. I am to call back on Wednesday 12/26 to reserve a courtesy vehicle and schedule appt. A week later after coming to sign the paper work and pick up the car I was informed tge keyfob no longer workered properly.then a week and a half ago it has a problem turning on on whenever it feels like then last night getting off work and picking up my wife and son anything that was electrical would icker to stay alive (head lights, stereo, heater, windows, ect.) but what scares me is the transmission in this vehical is fully electric so that presents immediate danger because of the fact the transmission can shut off in middrive. The other tire they patched and roger after getting on phone with tire kingdom requested this come back to him. These original 4 tires, including the patched ones had matching dot numbers. The new one paid for by roger of gator chrylser melbourne, fl had an inmatched dot number, being from a new batch, also lesser tread wear compared to other 3. tire kingdom since has seen my car multiple times for tire punctures. I was told the car guys here are connected and nothing is for free. I was told they are pawns following someones directive. This is disturbing as it involves local organized crime, as even the police could not get away with this action legally. I saved tge patched tire and all records. When I turn my car off at night, my dash backlighting remains on 4 hours if not indefinitely. Also, the car will occasionally go from a normal reading to overheating on the instrument panel and it will remain overheating only on the panel for a few minutes before going back to normal again. The car has no other indications that it is overheating. There is no smell of antifreeze. The heat continues to work normally. There is no visible steam or other indication that the car actually does overheat. It appears to be a electrical anomaly. Lastly, the top half of my rear window defrost is no longer working. My car has 48000 miles on it and has been garage its whole life.

My airbag light stays on permanently. It used to come on intermittently. I have had the problem fixed twice by a Chrysler repair facility. I was told not to worry it's just a wiring harness problem. Takata recall: Where do I start. I have been having many issue with this car the latest issue which just happened my car wouldn't turn on and all the lights on the dash board would turn on the 'service transmission' 'serivce brakes' will turn and they would start flashing. When I would try to change gears my nobe would stay on park but the nobe would be turning! I would have to turn my car off and attempt to turn it back on then it would work. Now my brake is hard and my nobe will not turn my car stayed on neutral and now won't even turn on. Also before that the brakes system alert would go off from time to time. Other times my car would turn off out of nowhere. Overall my experience with this car has been bad.

I replaced the transmission axle harness back iin 2016 when I got the car. But not all of a sudden the ABS sensor keeps going out and it comes on and off after replacing it. I replaced it the car was fine then boom its back on. The car speeds up when I just be going 10 miles an hour and I have to slam on my brakes to keep it from going out of control. I almost had two accidents with this issue. And the dealership keeps telling me that recall was fixed but I dont believe it was.
