2015 Chrysler 200. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle stalling.

My vehicle had trouble starting. When I finally started it, I was unable to shift gears, the transmission was acting weird.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced intermittent engine start up failure without warning. The contact also stated that the key fob failed to operate intermittently, even after the battery was replaced. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 15V470000 (electrical system) which she linked to her failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Tpim electrical issue. Reprogrammed car, didn't work. Came out to car and it just didn't turn over. Car says it's in neutral even when nothing is on.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the instrument panel was inoperable. Additionally, the keyfob failed to lock or unlock the doors. The contact also stated that radio display unit was also inoperable causing the radio, back-up camera, and speakers to not function as designed. The contact also stated that there was an electrical spark coming from the speaker wires. The vehicle was taken to ray brandt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (1660 westbank expy, harvey, la 70058, (504) 356-7062). The contact was informed that the radio display unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.

I have had this vehicle less than 6 months.....it has now started to stall in the middle of traffic..when coming to a stop and upon takeoff from signal lights..the steering wheel locks up and the check engine light and battery light and at one occasion the steering light came on...you can restart it and it will run but for how long before it dies altogether" I am terrified to drive this vehicle...it has never been reported in a recall....not this VIN number, but I have done my research and mine is not the only complaint...and all the complaints are almost exactly the same....my life and the lives of my family are at stake each time I get in this car...what recourse do we have before someone gets killed"

Car will stall out while driving and car will remain stuck in neutral. Dashboard lights with flicker off and stay off before stalling. Car will completely shut off in traffic with no warning. I have read various recalls on same make and model and year car. The car completely shut off while I was turning a corner and I was almost rear ended because I had no time to put on emergency blinkers. When the lights come back on the dash it says power steering system unavailable. I can start the car again but about another 2-4 miles it repeats. This is a safety issue for both me and my family.

Car randomly shuts off while driving and will either be able to turn back on or won't turn over at all for days. This has been happening multiple times. Brought it into the shop and was told it was the battery. Battery replaced issue is still happening. Very U safe.

You can be driving and the car will cut off in the middle of traffic all the lights flash and U will have to restart it may start the first time it may take multiple try's but I do have a video this car has cut off multiple times on me. A battery light will flash after the car cut off.

May 5, 2020. I went to start my car & it says the engine is too hot to start. Strange. The next day it says the same thing so I call a tow truck to take it to pep boys. The car was stuck in neutral and the emergency brake wouldn't release so they were unable to tow it. They give me a jump start & I take it to pep boys. They test the battery & showed it was just fine. I seemed to have no problems soon after leaving. Later that night, I went out to check on it just to make sure it was working. Once again it wouldn't start. Then I noticed the dashboard menu had a black screen & wouldn't turn on. I kept trying to turn the car off & give it a few minutes before turning it back on. Then the air conditioner stopped working correctly once I turned it on. The temperature inside the car was 100 degrees I thought this was causing a problem for the engine so I tried to turn it off. It kept blowing onto the windshield & wouldn't shut off until I turned the car off. I tried to start the car & the battery wouldn't crank. It just was stuck on run without the engine running. So I was officially stranded at home, but I'm glad it happened at home instead of somewhere else. I don't have aaa so I wasn't sure how I would get my car back to the dealership which is an hour from me. Thankfully a relative came through & helped. But when I initially went to pick up the car on 5/13, once again it didn't start. So they kept it for a few more days to see what was the problem. It was an electrical problem like I thought. I now have the car today & so far all is good. However I am upset no one told me this car had 8 recalls. Before selling it to me & I'm a new driver! this has been a major inconvenience & I fear this will happen again. I'd like to have it recalled & replace this with a new vehicle completely. I can't attach these files but I have videos as evidence I will gladly email if needed.

I am writing in to notify you that Chrysler recall P43 should apply to my vehicle. I have intermittent functionality loss in the driver door due to what the dealership told me is a short in the driver door wiring harness. They couldn't find the short visually, but know its there from a multi meter test reading. They wanted over 500 dollars to replace this door harness and I truly believe it should be replaced as part of the Chrysler P43 recall. This recall only applys to 8 "known" Chrysler 200 LX models but who is to say the defect couldn't be present in more? it has presented itself obliviously in my car. The dealership told me failing to replace this harness will result in further electrical failure including airbag mis-operation, . it does not seem right that this recall doesn't apply to my vehicle.

For starters when entering my car it doesn't detect the key I've changed the battery in the fob and car as well I have to sit for sometimes 10 min it will start but message key fob not detected displays the entire time I'm driving. Then it also flashes seat belt, air bags and brakes I've enclosed some pictures as well. It's never don this I don't don't think it's issue with my air bags or brakes but seem electrical I'm not sure but please help me figure it out
