The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving various speeds, the vehicle jerked and switched inadvertently from automatic to manual transmission. When the vehicle switched to manual transmission, it began to slow down. In order to drive the vehicle, the gear knob needed to be turned. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and was placed in manual mode in order to operate. The contact called lakeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2875 mall hill dr., lakeland, fl 33810 (863) 687-2501) and was informed that the failure was normal. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

Last year had the car in do to the transmission the shop reprogrammed the computer. Last week while driving the car was going 55 and seemed like it quit moving then the motor rpms kept going up. Finally we put the car in neutral and stopped it. Restarted it and it sounded very rough at first then settled down. Was able to drive home 5 minutes away. Next day couldn't start the car. Towed it to the dealer and they said the motor is shot. There was a recall on it for something that I never was informed about.

Recall # S55 NHTSA 16V529 my car mil light came on last night 04/20/2018 while on the freeway doing 70 miles, stating the transmission needs to be serviced. Once I got of the freeway turning right on the street the car acted as if it didn't want to go, driving at a very slow speed around 40 miles. When I came to the light to stop the car seemed as if it was going to cut off, idled low and when the light turned green for me to go the car was still a the driving speed of no more than 40 miles. Once I got to my destination, I informed my fianc of the issue I was having. We went back outside after reading the cars manual around 10-15 minuets after. He started the car and the transmission message was gone but the mil light was still on. He placed the car in drive and moved it forward and then in reverse to back it up. The light was still on but he told me that based on that the transmission didn't seem to have any issues. The next morning on 04/21/2018, I tried to auto start my car, got in the car and on the dash read disabled so the car didn't auto start. This is the first time I have ever experienced that other than when the car is low on fuel you can't auto start the car and my car had a full tank of gas when I tried starting it this morning. So when I started the car manually it no longer showed the mil light and while driving on the street and freeway back home it seemed to be driving and shifting fine. I have noticed that my car on multiple occasions, while driving has a delayed time when shifting to pick up speed and this is after the car has been running for a while and I've been driving for some distance. Then once it shifts it gives a jerk then it picks up speed.

Takata recall: My car had a recall on it for the transaxle wire harness. I took it in to get fixed and my car has been stalling out. It had loss of motive power. It seems to be getting worse every day and the recall was suppose to fix it. It has almost caused a few accidents. I will hit the gas to go and my car will not move then when I take my food off the car it jults and speeds off. This happens when I stop at a stop sign also a stop light. There are no issues when I'm driving on a highway. It is only if I have to stop or go. I also have issues if I start my car and don't let it sit for S few minutes. If I start my car and go to back out it will feel like someone is hitting my break and letting go. Like it won't accelerate right.

I've experienced air bag service warnings along with service parking brake warnings and service and. At one point I was on cruise control goj G 65 mph when all of a sudden all the warnings came on at once and my car shifted itself into neatral and then loss power for a second. Luckily no one was behind me. I never received a notice of this recall but when I looked it up there was in fact a recall.

Forward collision warning (fcw) with mitigation system did not work at a speed of 15 miles per hour. A vehicle in front of my vehicle stopped abruptly in the middle of the road and I attempted to apply the brakes but it was to late and I hit the rear of the vehicle in front of me. My vehicle which was traveling at 15 miles per hour gave no forward collision warning nor did it attempt to apply the brakes. It is my understanding that the system was made for this type of occurrence and the safety feature should have worked. The front of my vehicle sustained $6500 in damage from a minor 15 mph accident that should have been avoided or lessened with the technology package that I purchased as an add on to the vehicle.

Car will lose power driving down the road and will also accelerate by itself the electronic throttle control light and check engine light comes on you can't get the car to go just dead and when you cut it off and to restart it it takes few times to start back but that's the O my way you can drive it after doing that! it has done this several times now and two cases I almost got into a very bad accident ! this. Is very dangerous I can't drive on interstate because if we're to stall like it does and lose piower or get killed! it's has stopped while pulling out into the highway resulting in me having to jump out of car before I got tboned

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 45 mph, the speed reduced and the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was in the middle of the road when the failure occurred. The contact restarted the vehicle after ten seconds and was able to drive normally. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V470000 (electrical system). The vehicle was taken to the dealer (milton ruben Chevrolet, 3514 Washington rd, augusta, ga 30907), but the contact did not know what was diagnosed or replaced. The vehicle was repaired. After one week of the recall repair, the failure recurred several other times. The same dealer was contacted and stated that the contact had to pay for the repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

Purchased 2015 Chrysler 200 at 4:35 pm. Got on hwy 25 miles West going home I-70 West to bonner springs, the car started hesitating, I nearly got thrown off highway by 3 semis- adnd 2 trucks and cars behind me, let off horrible burning odor, and nearly threw my body out of the car, but I handled well. I got off I-70 to state avenue- runs parallel directions. Then, when I came to a number of lights- the engine revved up, like it was jerking motions. I paid it some attention, but was at a loss for words. I thought I was on a race track engines revved up, but I was not going to a race track. So, I came home- settled now down TO2:445 in the morning very shaken up. So, I notified the televisions news stations and the Kansas City star newspaper as we speak. I decided to read the "Chrysler 200 reviews, and I am sure you can pull them too. I just searched for Chrysler 200 reviews- and I read so many "exact" stories- I don't know what to say. I cannot sleep. This is the worst feeling I have ever had. Read the reviews. Help people live, and get rid of these cars. Just think, it has great leg room- I had plans for my nieces- to go to Texas, we cannot die at once. I am not ready to be buried- at least let me teach a few more months and years. Had it been snowing, I would be dead. My life has been turned up side down, since 4pm. It is not just me. Don;T let these people kill kids, my nieces could have died this weekend. I thought I was going to pick them up, but I am so shaken, I am ice cold all over. I pray to god- you will cease these vehicles at once. Please don;T let any more people drive these cars- and please show these on face the nation on channel 5 cbs stations. Thank-god- my nieces are alive. I am so glad to be home. I plan to get a police escort to the dealership 9/12/2017. I have had so much trouble finding honesty. God bless us.

The contact rented a 2015 Chrysler 200 limited from enterprise rental car. While driving 25 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed and jerked. The contact immediately depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to slow down. As a result, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The contact's head struck the driver side window and she was knocked unconscious. The contact was awakened by eyewitnesses hitting the window to alert her to exit the vehicle as the cabin filled with smoke. The contact mentioned that the air bags deployed and she felt a burning sensation on her left leg. The contact was unaware if fire was present as she was transported away by ambulance. The contact sustained fractures to her left and right feet and ankles, as well as third degree burs on her left leg, bruises to her ribs, sternum, and left shoulder. The contact was unaware if there were injuries to the other vehicle occupants. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed a total loss. The contact stated that the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, but was unaware of the diagnosis. The contact stated that the independent mechanic informed her that the Chrysler 200 had many recalls. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that enterprise rental car sold the vehicle for salvage before they could inspect the vehicle. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

Ive been havng problems with my vehicle since I first purchased. The car slips gears and takes off and stagger while on highway. Ive made several attempts to have problem fixed by Chrysler. I was told that the transmission doesn't match with software and Chrysler is looking to fix issue in the future. Thecar feels really unsafe. After doing research, I also noticed that this car was sold to me way above price that was offered to others. I also feel that the contract is no longer valid as the car dealership requested a certain amount to pay off my trade in. I later found that the amount was nearly $300 less than the requested amount. I was told that any excess fund will be released to me. Its been over a year and I have yet to receive the refund.

Mostly hwy driving~engine light comes on, transmission light is on and vehicle speed decreases, unable to accelerate. When I come to a complete stop, most times the screen will reset, the engine light will go off with in the next day or two. Stored codes have been P1da9, P073E. I've taken the care to the dealer, software reset-only solved the problem for a short time. Searched for recall by vehicle and there are at least 7, but when searching by VIN # states none. This has happened numerous time but I will enter most recent date with complaint

Purchased vehicle 24 April 2017. After approx. 2 weeks the "service airbag system' message and airbag light on panel came on and went off after a few days. Called and spoke with dealership I purchased from and was informed that if it came on again to take it in to get checked. Came on again after another 2 weeks, scheduled appointment and the morning I took it in it went off. Came on again at the end of June which was another 2 weeks later and has been on since. First couple of time came on while driving, last time came on right after car was started. Car will also making a "jerky" acceleration motion while driving on highway and acts like it can't accelerate after coming out of a stop. Makes the "jerky" acceleration motion when pulling into driveway also. Did some research online and saw that others where having the same issues. I haven't had this vehicle a full 4 months.
