The engine make a loud noise sounds so bizarre I've took it to several mechanic shops but they told me they couldn't detect the issue.

The vehicle will stall while driving causing you to stop, place in park and restart. Upon trying to restart it struggles to turn over. Seems to be happening with the car has sat for awhile and is cold. The temp gauge shows nothing on it. I know the car will stall. If there is a line or more on the temp gauge on the dashboard it doesn't seem to have any issues. The vehicle is also not shifting from gear to gear properly. It seems to not catch when it should go to the next gear. The car will jerk.

2016 Chrysler 200. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle starting hard and rough, electrical issues and front passenger door shutting hard. The consumer stated the vehicle had multiple failures including the parking brake engaging on it's own, the accelerator pedal sticking, wiring systems, the air conditioner and transmission ruptured. The powertrain, control module, compressor, etc condenser was locked. The vehicle starts hard. There was a knocking noise on start up. The tire came off the vehicle while driving. While depressing the brake pedal the vehicle began to lurch forward. The lower ball joint failed. There was body a rim damage to the vehicle. The repair shop failed to repair the vehicle properly.

My 2016 Chrysler 200 was purchased brand new, has only 15000 miles. When pulling into traffic the engine shuts off. Dashboard prompt says put in park to start.car won't start until after 3 attempts and in the middle of traffic and several near missed rear enders car started but stuttering and no power. Finally after sitting in the middle of traffic for 5 or 10 minutes engine smoothed out. No warning at all. Extremely scary and dangerous, both times car was in motion turning onto a busy street in heavy traffic, engine just shut off for no reason. Dealership said oil change was needed but oil life gauge said 51% and oil change wasn't due for another 500 miles.tech.at the dealership said it was a safety feature. I don't see anything safe about the engine shutting off in the middle of traffic. Very unsafe and dangerous. Should be a recall for this before someone hurt or killed.

Since I've bought the car, upon accelerating, stopping, pretty much doing any driving the car will bubble under and jerk as if you're manually switching shifts. It has only gotten worse over the 2 years I've owned this car and no one can seem to help because there's no "code" that finds the problem. My car also, will lock the wheel while I'm driving, lock the brake and gas and turn completely off as if the battery died and I can't put the car in neutral or anything since it is locked. This has almost caused my to be in multiple vehicle crashes. The car is now shaking and still having a bubbly feel under the car as if it's having a hard time starting up while I'm driving.

Car keeps shutting off randomly while driving. Car is at 36738 miles. I was mid turn and car just cut off and system shut down. Could have been hit by other vehicles but they had enough time to go around car stalled in middle of road. Put car in park and tried to restart 3 times before it came back on.

My car makes this loud noise when the engine is on and the coolant meter reaches one bar on the screen and I don't know exactly where the noise is coming from but its not normal. Took it to a mechanic and he told me its not a problem the car is suppose to make that noise but I don't really believe him. That noise is very loud

Vehicle is stalling, completely shutting off, losing power while driving. It has done it as 20mph, 45mph, going straight, turning left, turning right. There is no notification that this is happening. The only thing I can tell it's happening is it looses power, steering locks up and the car dash says "shift to P to start vehicle". when I do that, the car takes at least 30-456 seconds to completely start back up and running. It acts like it does not want to start back up. I have travelled county roads, city streets, highways and it has done it on each one of them. This is not ok and something that needs to be blown off with no recall. I have 2 small children that is 99.9% of the time in the car with me. I can not have this continue to happen with nothing being done or resolved of this. I have taken it to 2 different Chrysler dealers and they cannot figure out what is going on with it because the car is not throwing any codes when it happens. No check engine light, nothing.

We own a 2016 Chrysler 200 with a 4 cylinder engine that is burning one quart of oil every 750 miles. We are told by the dealer that Chrysler engineers say it is acceptable for that engine to use a quart of oil in 750 to 1000 miles. The engine has done this since it was new. They replaced fouled spark plugs and even complete cylinders on the car. The last time my wife waited until the recommended oil change it had used 5 quarts. The dealer is still giving us the run around as is mr stander at Chrysler usa and sergio marchioni who called the designers of the engine 'dummies'. recall these cars now

The engine in our Chrysler 200 loses oil at an alarming rate. The car eventually stalls and will not restart. We are told every time 'no oil shows on the dipstick. It is again in the shop having been towed there because it lost so much oil it would not start. The dealer is defiant because the government has refused to act and recall the 2016 for the same reasons that prompted a recall of the 2015 Chrysler 200. Is it going to take consumer fatalities before the nhsta acts. Tecall these cars now !

My car continues to stall while driving on city streets, locking everything up. I have to put the car in park. Press the stop engine button, place my foot in the brake, press the start button, the engine whines, tries to start, winds again then chugs a few times. After doing this over and over again, the car will eventually start. Just to do it again. When I brought my car to the dealer, they told my car was "almost out of oil" after which they had done the last oil change claiming to have used synthetic oil. If that was the case, how does a 2016 car burn 4-5 quarts of synthetic oil and them not be able to tell me why. I see the recall for 2015 200's matching exactly what is happening to my 2016.

Vehicle has a hard time changing gears. When speeding up vehicle jerks hard and makes loud noice in tranmission area. Passengers have noticed how it struggles to change gears. Have taken into to dealer but they say they can not replicate problem. It also seems to surge randomly when coming to a stop. Afraid I'll hit car in front of me. Also dealer not able to repair.

A few times pulling out into the traffic the car would fail to accelerate properly almost causing an accident. Also, some times while driving the car seems as if its dying or loosing power. It is also rattling when I crank it up. The other thing is that the transmission while accelerating seems to take a while to switch gears and then the car jerks really hard when it finally shift gears. I've taken it in to the dealership and they just said that they checked it and cant find anything wrong but that they have had similar complaints but that "its just the fact that the car is a 4 cylinder." It's very scary pulling out into traffic.

Transmission is slipping and can't seem to get into gear while driving and getting to freeway speeds can't reach a max of 55mph. Have had the car completely stall out on the freeway and put itself into "neautral" while at freeway speeds. Maintenance airbag lights frequently coming on. Chrysler can't seem to find a fix to the issue on why this car is doing what it has been. They keep saying ithe issue is fixed when publicly there is no real fix to the issue and they don't know how to fix the re accruing problem. Little to say, I am deathly afraid of driving this vehicle even down the street to my local grocery store. I work too hard and pay to much for my first brand new car to be having issues like these. I really wish Chrysler would recall all of these vehicles already before someone ends up loosing a life over a faulty lemon of a vehicle.

As I travel down the highway going about 50 to 60 mile an hour sometime the car jake's real hard into gear and also when I come to a complete stop and take off again going about 5 to 10 mph it shifts hard again.

Purchased car brand new May 2016 September 2016 driving on a city street my car turners off with a flashing shift in to park on the dash board. December 2016 2nd time doing the shift into park upon entering highway 16 steering wheel locks up making it difficult to move out of harms way to shift into park. February same incident on highway 16 right before merging on to interstate 5 South. Car doesn't restart when pressing engine start. I have to sit for 5-6 minutes before car turns on and the. Drive until it attempts again. I E taking it to the dealer they don't see the problem after resetting the computer and getting an oil change car still turns off while driving. I've taking it back on May 2017 car still doing the shift into park locking wheel and turning engine off. After being with the dealer again not only does it shift into park it's now over heating. I bought the car as the first owner with 10 miles

Purchased my car new iit has been about 8 months while entering they highway the car completely shut off on me as the gear panel flashed P first an airbag failure light came on then emergency brake light then tire pressure the wheel did not lock up I was able to coast over to the side of the highway because there was heavy traffic which is likely what saved me from being hit all warning lights went off after 30 seconds expect now the engine light was on I was able to start the car again and go home I have since taken the car in and they could not find nor repeat the problem at the dealer if it wasn't for heavy highway traffic I would have been injured or died

My vehicle completely shuts off while in motion. Not while at a stop or while slowing. I am literally driving along and the car shuts off. I was nearly rear-ended because of this. I this has happened multiple times and each time I have been in motion on a city street in forward motion. It has happened once in mid turn. This issue started on 1/24/2017 and has occurred each day 2-3 times a day.
